A CALL TO HEROES: My "SIT-DOWN" With Vince Bugliosi

There are adjectives that come to mind when describing famed former prosecutor and renowned author, Vincent Bugliosi, who for forty years has set the standard for prosecutorial skill in America. Some are intrepid, brave, independent, brilliant, driven, indomitable, respected, focused, relentless and confident. Each fits perfectly well. But after interviewing Mr. Bugliosi at his California home, and reading his latest book, "The Prosecution Of George W. Bush For Murder," I am compelled to add two more adjectives to that already formidable list: PATRIOTIC and ENRAGED. Beyond all other characterizations one may ascribe to Vincent Bugliosi, the principal descriptors TODAY for this inherently honorable man are PATRIOTIC and ENRAGED - emanating equally from his love for his nation.

Of course, there's another descriptor that has long been associated with Vincent Bugliosi. That descriptor is JUSTICE, to which Bugliosi has devoted his life. Yet not until now - not until George W. Bush caused the murders of over 4,000 Americans and countless innocent Iraqi men, women, children and babies, has JUSTICE assumed an even greater role for Bugliosi - arguably this nation's preeminent prosecutor. JUSTICE has morphed from a noun to a verb - enacted by Bugliosi with a vengeance - fueled by his intense love of nation, his profound knowledge of law, and his unparalleled ability to dispense it. Vincent Bugliosi is a man of action. While others speak of JUSTICE, Bugliosi creates the ways to achieve it - and he has done so in this book.

Thus it is, that when legendary prosecutor Vince Bugliosi writes a book that establishes the case to prosecute George W. Bush for murder in an American court, for those who know the law, neither the book nor the case are ignored. As told to me by Elizabeth De La Vega, veteran Justice Department attorney who served under Presidents Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II, and author of the New York Times Best seller, "United States v. George W. Bush et. al.":

"Vincent Bugliosi is a consummate prosecutor who has now put together yet another compelling case. His is a cry for justice on behalf of the thousands upon thousands of people who have suffered irreparable harm -- and the many of who have died -- as a result of the criminal conduct of the President of the United States. This passionate and powerful brief should not be ignored.”

Thankfully, as De La Vega aptly implores, Vince's book is NOT being ignored. NOT by his patriotic colleagues in law who seek justice against an Administration that misled their nation into a wretched unnecessary war. NOT by the patriotic American public that's witnessed its beloved nation toppled from human rights enforcer to human rights destroyer. And NOT by the legions of activist patriots who have placed their own freedoms at risk again and again to end the unConstitutional reign of George W. Bush - despite the complicit Legislative and Judicial Branches which failed in their Balance of Powers.

As shared with me by Stephen Rohde, Constitutional lawyer, author, and former president of the ACLU of Southern California:

"At a time when the Democratic leadership has utterly failed to pursue the remedy of impeachment provided by the Founders in the Constitution, Bugliosi's innovative challenge to indict Bush for murder should be pursued by attorneys general in every state where men and women have died due to Bush's criminal acts. This Nation cannot allow Bush to leave office and live out his days being paid huge fees to give speeches and serve on corporate boards instead of being tried for the deaths and injuries he has caused. Whether he is forced to stand trial for murder or for war crimes and crimes against humanity, George W. Bush must be held accountable."

Which brings us to Vince's CALL TO HEROES. The heroes in Vince's case are those who would prosecute George W. Bush for murder in an American court of law - which includes the hundreds of city and county District Attorneys, the fifty State Attorneys General and any of the ninety-three U.S. Attorneys in the nintey-three federal districts for whom Vince established jurisdiction to proceed with the case. Vince is certain that amongst this vast population of prosecutors, there is at least one patriot who loves this nation deeply enough to hold Bush accountable for the murders of over 4,000 service men and women whom he lied into going to war. The good news for whomever does step forward to take George Bush to task is the promise of assistance from Bugliosi himself - who as a prosecutor is held in the highest regard. In the words of famed defense attorney F. Lee Bailey, Vince is "the quintessential prosecutor." For Harvard Law Professor, Alan Dershowitz, Vince is "as good a prosecutor as there ever was." Thus, Vince's offer to serve as consultant to whomever accepts the case should be incentive enough to take it on - especially since whomever does take it on will encounter instant fame. Vince has also offered to accept a Special Prosecutor appointment from any U.S. Attorney or District Attorney who would like him to try the case.

There are certainly enough family members of murdered service men and women who want George W. Bush tried for their murders. This afternoon I spoke with Peace Mom Cindy Sheehan whose son Casey was killed in Iraq. Cindy, who's mentioned in Vince's book, is eager to see Bush tried for Casey's murder. She'll be reaching out to Vince to tell him that if prosecution is possible, she's on board on Casey's behalf.

As I've previously noted, Vince's patriotism is palpable - in his presence, and in his book. By any standards, this 73 year old son of hard working Italian immigrants has achieved his American dream. He's the first in his family to finish college. He's a brilliantly successful lawyer and one of America's most renowned authors. Yet despite his great accomplishments, Vince's focus is on the future - with minor reflection on his past. Right now, the driving force of Vince's life is prosecuting George W. Bush for murder - a desire that first took hold on August 13, 2005, when he watched Bush on television speaking with reporters from his cushy Crawford ranch. As Vince tells it:

"In the middle of some of the worst atrocities in Iraq, with the surivors of victims screaming out in anguish over the unspeakable horror of it all, Bush after a hearty breakfast tells the media: Quote: I'm gonna have lunch with Secretary of State Rice, take a little nap, I'm reading an Elmore Leonard book right now - knock off a little Elmore Leonard this afternoon - go fishing with my man Barney [his dog], have a light dinner, then head for the ball game. So it's a perfect day. End quote.

As I talk to you [Linda] right now, there are a hundred-thousand dead - maybe a million - and this guy is off having a great time! I said to myself, 'No, you son of a bitch! You're not gonna have another perfect day for as long as you live if I have anything to say about it because I'm gonna put a thought in your mind that you're going to take with you to your grave. That's the least that I can do for these thousands of poor soldiers coming back from Iraq in a box or in a jar of ashes. And the thousands upon thousands of innocent men, women, children and babies dying because of your war. And that thought is that there's no statute of limitations for murder. They went after Pinochet after 33 years - and then he died."

Coming from Vincent Bugliosi, a man who has proven time and again that he has no fear, this is a threat George Bush should take seriously. Vince will not back down. One must remember that Vince Bugliosi is the author of "Helter Skelter." He's the guy who prosecuted Charles Manson in a case where a defense attorney was found dead - and though it was never proven - is believed to have been killed as retaliation by Manson Family members. Vince was the hands-on prosecutor who publicly defied Manson's threats of retribution. He's fearless.

In retrospect, it's interesting how so many physically slight men, like Vince Bugliosi, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich, stand so tall against injustice. Equally interesting is how powerful corporate entities like major publishing houses and media conglomerates, succumb willingly to the same.

Despite his literary successes, the same publishing houses that would ordinarily vie for a Bugliosi book, passed on "The Prosecution Of George W. Bush For Murder" - a testament to the incivility of the Bush administration and the level of fear it engenders. Gratefully, Vanguard Press took the plunge. When I asked Vince why corporate media and large corporate publishers ignored his book, he responded with:

"The left is afraid of the right but the right's not afraid of the left." Those on "the right" are terribly mean, evil and bad people."

For Vince it's as cut and dry as that. But he has yet to meet the real left - the fearless marchers, protesters, and bloggers who have NO fear of "the right." Vince's idea of the left is corporate media - which he still calls liberal. For all his renaissance-man-persona, there's one area where Vince trails behind. TECHNOLOGY!!

Vince doesn't use a computer. He writes his books long hand on canary pads. He has no email address, doesn't surf the web, doesn't google, doesn't have a cell phone, and doesn't know the rest of us exist! He laughs when I tell him the blogosphere has become the mainstream. He doesn't know what a blog is, or a website. He's amused by the iPod I use to record our talk, and amazed by the iPhone I use to take his photo (above). Yet for all his lack of technology savvy, he did comprehend that without one corporate TV appearance and no major newspaper review, his book still debuted at #17 on the New York Times Best Seller list and at #30 on Amazon.com. Three weeks ago, when his book first launched to a corporate media blackout, his book signing lines at Book Expo America in Los Angeles were two hours long. When I explain to Vince that the internet drove that enthusiasm, he begins to catch on.

On June 13th, after an appearance on DemocracyNow! with Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzales, whom Vince hadn't previously heard of, his book sales spiked like mad. When I explained to him that Amy has the most successful radio and television news program in independent media, the message sinks in even more. The fact is, after all the major publishing houses turned down "The Prosecution of George W. Bush For Murder," Vanguard, who published the book, greeted Vince by saying,

"Vince this book has to be published. This is the most important book of your career."

What's interesting is that Vince clearly knew the importance of this book - but he didn't know the rest of us KNEW IT TOO - or that we even existed. How ironic that with all the conversation on the blogosphere about prosecuting George W. Bush, the hero we've all been waiting for didn't have a clue that we were waiting!

As a lay person with no legal background, I have no idea how sound Vince's case is - although it appears impressive to me. But I've reached out to enough legal scholars to know how respected Vincent Bugliosi is. Dr. William Pepper, the famous and controversial attorney who defended James Earl Ray in the 1999 civil trial (supported by Martin Luther King's family) where the jury found Ray not responsible for MLK's assassination, and who differs with Vince on Vince's 1650 page treatise on the JFK assassination, told me:

"I certainly support the concept of prosecuting this president and those around him. The concept of a criminal prosecution within the United States by local prosecutors is certainly a creative idea that Mr. Bugliosi has put forward. Because of the broader violation of international criminal law there should be the prosecution of all in this administration by the U.S. Department of Justice. Vince Bugliosi has established an exemplary record as a prosecutor and thoughtful legal analyst. His perspective should merit serious legal attention."

I also reached out to respected Constitutional attorney and George Washington Law Professor, Jonathan Turley, who is a frequent legal analyst on television and who has testified before Congress. Professor Turley responded by email saying, "I have not had a chance to look at the book because I am in rather intense litigation. I will not be able to read it for a couple weeks, unfortunately, so I will not be able to comment at this time." Constitutional scholar and Duke University Law Professor, Erwin Chemerinsky, responded by Blackberry from Europe stating, "I am on vacation and have not seen Vince's book. I'll get a copy when we get back early this coming week." America's most gifted legal professionals are paying attention to Vince's book with full intent to read it.

The fact is, Vincent Bugliosi is as decent a man as you'll ever meet. He's written the book that others are too afraid and too unskilled to write. America's good fortune is that there is NO ONE BETTER than Vincent Bugliosi to write the case to prosecute George Bush. Please support Vince on his critically important mission. Do ALL you can to spread the word. Encourage every legal scholar in America to make the case for the prosecution of George W. Bush. Encourage every talented prosecutor to take this case on. Buy the book and pass it on. Bush leaves office in less than 7 months. Let's make certain he doesn't have a PERFECT day for as long as he lives!

On a slightly different note: The comparisons between John McCain and Barack Obama are stark. I'm committed to electing Obama - although he often disappoints me. Yesterday was one of those disappointing days when he announced his support for the FISA compromise that lets the telecoms off the hook. To say I'm furious at Obama is an understatement. Yet, if John McCain is elected there is the distinct possibility that in addition to bombing innocent people, ending Roe v. Wade, and supporting torture, he will pardon George W. Bush - which removes any possibility of criminal prosecution within the United States. As angry as I am at Obama right now, I don't believe he'd have the gall to pardon Bush. If Obama even remotely entertains that notion, he shouldn't be allowed to serve.

It seems obvious that if one man or woman who kills another man or woman can be put in prison for life, that a group of men and Condi who kill millions of people should have equal treatment.
4Peace

1.) Bush and his murderous thugs are "above the law" and are permitted to snub subpoenas, have sentences commuted, answer to no one unless they choose to, and much more.

2.) This book has been out for a while now, where is this "Super Litigator" and WHEN will he/she step forward?!
(If only Kucinich were a lawyer!!!)

3.) JUSTICE IS DEAD IN AMERIKA UNLESS YOU ARE POOR, STRUGGLING, WEAK, EASY PREY, AND NOT "ABOVE THE LAW".

This book was published on May 27, 2008 - less than a month ago. No prosecution of George W. Bush can begin until Bush is OUT OF OFFICE. The campaign to get this going is just beginning. The prosecutors haven't even been sent the books yet. That process begins next week.

Linda Milazzo

Don't get crazy on me. I missed the part about having to be OUT OF OFFICE!
I DEFINITELY look forward to your updates.

If Bush or McCain or Obama were to issue any pardons, such pardons would only be for federal crimes:

"...and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons
for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of
Impeachment." [Article II, Section 2, U.S. Constitution]

Mr. Bugliosi has done enormous research, and has established jurisdiction for murder charges against Bush (and others) in every state and/or every county that was the home of an American serviceperson killed in Iraq.

It seems unlikely that all 50 governors would pardon Bush&Co for the murders of citizens of their state(s), in violation of STATE laws.

Conyers has been taking a lot of misguided verbal "tars and feathers" since he is being prudent about not moving too quickly on a premature impeachment that could fail and/or simply be PARDONED away.

PARDONS are clearly Conyers worst nightmare (since he has seen it done before , with Nixon by Ford).

Bugliosi's methodical plan of using state courts to AVOID PARDONS , has foresight and is brilliant!

Can prosecution happen IF Bush is impeached? If he isn't? Does it matter? ANYONE?!

Those on this thread will find this of SPECIAL interest:
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Bush_war_crimes_conference_to_convene_0622...

What could it matter if Bush is impeached or not. All impeachment will do is lead to removal if convinced by the Senate. It does not punish him, it just gets RID of him as president. He can (and should) still be tried on criminal charges. The is no statute of limitations on murder. I do not think it is "double jeopardy", if that is what you are thinking. I am no lawyer though.

Al K.

I truly believe Mr. Bugliosi is the real hero we've all been waiting for.

While Kucinich is the best in the Congress, the Congress itself is a major contributor to our Fascist dilemma, and we can't expect that criminal body to do much. Remember, the German parliament legalized all of Hitler's crimes.

Bugliosi is SO IMPORTANT I would even support changing the name of this website from "After Downing Street" to the "Bugliosi Report" (or something similar).

Mr. Bugliosi's efforts have caused considerable impact.

He can be quoted, sourced, and referenced in regards to the Phase II report and subsequently Mr. Bugliosi's confirmation of a high crime and murder being commited by parts of the US government.

you forgot one more adjective: Teflon Justice

Lawyers everywhere must be flocking to read his book, it is a lifetime's worth of a master prosecutor.

It saddens me greatly that the subject of this efforts is in fact the President of the United States.

Our country has suffered a great deal under these last 7-8 years.

Instead of resting on his laurels in the last 6 months of the Presidency, the white house must be spending an inoridante amount of time trying to devise a scheme to escape the same crimes they have repeatedly commited.

The Constitution of the United States of America has proven to be bigger, better, faster, and stronger than anyone imagined. It shall not be denied.

George W. Guilty of Murder?
A prominent lawyer lays out a compelling case in THE PROSECUTION OF GEORGE W. BUSH FOR MURDER. Staggering evidence is collected against the president in a startling new book.

"The preferable venue for the prosecution of George W. Bush for murder and conspiracy to commit murder would be in the nation's capital, with the prosecutor being the Attorney General of the United States acting through his Department of Justice. This book, however, establishes jurisdiction for any state attorney general (or any district attorney in any county of a state) to bring murder and conspiracy charges against Bush for any soldiers from that state or county who lost their lives fighting Bush's war, which as you can see applies to every state in this nation", excerpt taken from renowned prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi's book "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder".

for helping us understand where Vincent Bugliosi is coming from. Pretty interesting that he didn't know we are everywhere and how important blogs are. Thanks for continuing to get the word out.

Linda Milazzo

How does Bugliosi establish jurisdiction for federal, local, and state Attorney Generals given that Bush's murders were committed in Iraq?

Haven't read the book yet, but guessing he argues bc of the criminal selling of the invasion occurred in America and over airwaves owned by Americans.
He could also use the SC ruling in Boumediane vs. Bush that concluded Gitmo is an American territory. The same case could be made for Iraq given its lack of sovereignty since the invasion and occupation. Soldiers and mercenaries who operate there are immune from Iraqi laws and Bremer was Bush's "Viceroy," a term meaning "in place of a king" and related to 'viscount' and other cases when a ruler delegates his authority to another over land or a colony.

Outstanding researched answers to the jurisdiction dilemna, Anon, I mean, REALLY outstanding!

Are you a lawyer, because if you figured that much out about jurisdiction to indict Bush with murder in the States, WITHOUT READING BUGLIOSI's BOOK, imagine how much legalese insight you could offer AFTER reading it...I hope you sign up for ADS forum and keep posting , moderators won't screen you then (except for violence or spam) . BTW, you don't have to use your real name.

We have another lawyer on forum board named Richard, would love to hear his input too.

was Bremer's immunity directive. Most Iraqis, both Sunni and Shiite, reject it and will not accept a new treaty or 'status of forces-SOFA' with an above the law clause. When Iraq has jurisdiction over its territory, then Bush can claim to have "liberated Iraq."

Richard, does this hold up?

Alternatively, using White House semantics, Iraq is sovereign except US military and contractor bases and where they patrol or exert force. This practical sovereignty is similar to Gitmo where Cuba has sanctioned the US base and movement within its borders.

Bush and Cheney's lawyers will argue that Order 17 gives US personnel in Iraq and their chain of command an all-purpose diplomatic immunity. Then Iraq could extradite them to their country of origin-US, Britain, and wherever else the mercenaries are from-and the respective countries can mete justice. Obama wouldn't let 'teflon justice' slip through his hands.

Wonder if this will be one of Dennis's next articles? Probably a stretch bc Viceroy wasn't typically such a title, but Art. I Sec. 9 of the Constitution says:
"No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States"

Defin. of Viceroy:
noun a ruler exercising authority in a colony on behalf of a sovereign.
— DERIVATIVES viceroyalty noun (pl. viceroyalties).
— ORIGIN archaic French, from vice- ‘in place of’ + roi ‘king’.

it is a stretch given:
As a matter of English history, titles of nobility and honor may only be conferred by the monarch, not as self-identification.(154) Black's Law Dictionary, for example, defines "nobility" as such:

In English law, a division of the people, comprehending dukes, marquises, earls, viscounts, and barons. These had anciently duties annexed to their respective honors. They are created either by writ, i.e., by royal summons to attend the house of peers, or by letters patent, i.e., by royal grant of any dignity and degree of peerage; and they enjoy many privileges, exclusive of their senatorial capacity.(155)

When General Norman Schwarzkopf accepted a honorary knighthood, he was still a serving officer,(167) but no constitutional violation occurred. Apparently, a honorary knighthood does not violate the federal nobility clause, which sweeps more broadly than TONA,(168) or it is of "minimal value" and its acceptance consented to by Congress by statute if it is received as a mark of courtesy.

Bremer was appointed Viceroy by a Bush, a President-select in name and King in practice. Don't think Congress consented to it and it probably is worth more than a "mark of courtesy".

I just purchased Bugliosi's book this week and I am reserving comment on it until I have read it completely.

I am quite certain I will find his analysis compelling but I do not want to be accused of prejudging this information until I have read it cover to cover.

what I have read and seen about it so far has definitely peeked my interest. I had already started McClellan's book so I want to finish that book first before delving into Bugliosi's book. I might say I was reluctant to support McClellan's book but I am now 7 chapters into it and coming to a more reasoned perception of "Scottie". The short piece of tape I did see from Friday's testimony before the Judiciary committee and his responses to Cong. Wexler give me reason to believe that McClellan was not a true neocon but someone who, somewhat like David Kuo, believed in an image that had no substance to it. The image of GWB was far more empty than he was able to fathom. Like Kuo, the truth hit them both like a ton of bricks.

Bugliosi's jurisdictional analysis was briefly touched upon in his recent interview on DEMOCRACY NOW. I have read that transcript and I found his legal analysis quite sound. It has a lot to do with the concept of the crime of murder and the linkage of the criminal events which have led up to such murders and the domiciles of the victims. Bugliosi spoke to how such local DA's could bring up charges in Courts of Common Pleas as we have here in Pennsylvania if a soldier was killed in Iraq. The events which led to the occupation, in Bugliosi's view set up a solid case to successfully prosecute GWB. I'll read his book with great care and obvious interest and expect to have a discussion about this with our local DA in Northampton County, PA as I know of at least 2 local military personnel who have perished in Iraq, one quite recently.

You beat me to it, I was just going to email you this article, becuz its right up your alley. Shoulda figured you already heard of this book!

I am thinking of finding out the jurisdiction of any locally deceased soldier(s) in my region, and mailing the appropriate District Attorney(s) the book(s) as well.

Please email this article to as many lawyers/prosecutors in your network as possible.

Thanks for response, Richard! Peace, yankhadenuf

Firstly, because of jurisdiction, a US prosecutor can only prosecute the deaths of Americans.

Then, from p. 86:
But how, you may ask, could George Bush be prosecuted and convicted of murder when he didn't personally kill anyone? Indeed, the killings took place in Iraq. The reason is that it is not necessary for a criminal defendant to have physically committed a murder to be guilty of it.

He goes on to argue that if you conspired to commit the murder and/or incited it to happen through an agent (Iraqi fighters), you are as guilty of it as if you had committed it personally - even if you were sitting on the porch of your ranch at the time.

BTW, he says the Int'l Criminal Court in The Hague is a non-starter, but I haven't gotten to where he explains why.

Great book! He starts out very angry, but now he's into explaining (to lay persons) the outline of his argument. I can't wait to get to the parts where he fleshes things out. That reminds me - off to bed to read some more :-) I shouldn't be so happy about this, bad kharma etc., but I am!

Vince got Manson convicted of First Degree murder by proving Manson had dominion over those members of his "family" who'd actually committed the crimes. I don't believe it was ever proved that Manson, himself, committed any murders - but Vince was so brilliant in his prosecution, that he nailed Manson with a First Degree murder conviction as if he'd personally committed the crimes.

In my research for this article - I reached out to many legal scholars. They agreed categorically that Vince Bugliosi is a brilliant legal mind. I've spoken to more since I published this piece and that sentiment is unanimous from all but one famed lawyer. The only one who couldn't comment on Vince's skills was an attorney who didn't feel familiar enough with his work to make an honest assessment. I respect that.

I'm deeply appreciative for the seriousness with which everyone here is approaching this matter. Reading the book, discussing it, and reporting on it as a group is a powerful tool for understanding. As a lay person - I need the understanding, too. These comments are fantastic.

I heard from my/our friend Cindy (Sheehan) tonight. She spoke with Vince today and they're eager to work together. Great news!!

And finally - this Wednesday, June 25th, Vince will be speaking before a group of Progressives in Venice, CA. It will be his first time speaking to a crowd of political allies on this matter. Cspan is set to cover. I'll let you know how it goes and try to pull some video to post.

Thanks to all!
Linda

I learned that it doesn't hurt to ask. Once I was at a speech of a USS Liberty Survivor and former FBI agent. He was quite frank during his speech of how corrupt AIPAC is, so I asked him during the Q&A if he was aware of PNAC, and he was not! Later I emailed him everything I had on PNAC's manifesto.

The administration wants US troops in Iraq subject to only military law. Order 17 grants immunity from Iraqi law. But Bugliosi argues that Bush should be subject to Federal criminal law.

How would Bugliosi counter an argument by Bush and Cheney's lawyers that they too are subject to only military law?

A real trial is preferable given habeas corpus, due process, discovery and respect for the law.

But orange jumpsuits, water torture and a military tribunal at Camp Gitmo would be fitting for those who pledged to bring terrorists "to justice" while criminally rendering, imprisoning and torturing many innocent suspects.

Is the guy who drives the get-away car in a bank robbery guilty of robbery? You bet he is! I call these kinds of criminals "enablers". We have a long list of them in the congress. I think they are all guilty too by the same logic. This may be one reason impeachment is being stone-walled!

Al K.

Dad is asking this one.

Two of the most dangerous books ever written that Zionists/Neocruds are terrified of:

Vincent Bugliosi's "The Prosecution of George W Bush".

Victor Thorn's "9-11 Evil".

As many of us know, Bush had a press conference last Tuesday. The lying son of a bitch actually had the temerity to blame high gas prices on the "Democrats" (who just appropriated another $170 billion dollars for Bush's Iraq Holocaust/Black Hole and Domestic Espionage). He also proposes to permanently contaminate America's coastal waters and Alaska's National Wildlife Refuge with toxic waste just to enrich his oil robber baron cronies. And the tragically ill informed American sheeple are still naive enough to believe that "savings" from this will be passed on to them at the gas pumps.

Humans are part of the same food chain as ANWR's diverse wildlife. So, what happens to ANWR will eventually happen to people. And the toxic waste deposited into America's already unhealthy coastal shelves will devastate the fishing industry and marine wildlife for a very long time.

In real life, the harvested oil will not be refined for at least 10 years and it would be consumed in less than 6 months, assuming that the current rate of consumption (7.56 billion barrels/year) does not increase from population growth.

Of course the real reason for high oil prices is because of Bush himself. Oil prices have increased by over 700% during his "tenure" because Bush deregulated oil and energy speculations in the stock markets (Cheney's Secret Energy Task Force Meetings/Enron Scandals) to enrich himself and his oil cronies.

The other reason for high gas prices is because Bush's 5 + trillion dollar Iraq Holocaust has de-valued the dollar. Bush cut Veteran's benefits, health care for disabled Veterans, $30 dollar/month combat duty pay and gives trillion dollar/yr tax cuts to super wealthy multi- millionaires.

In the meantime, Bush still brags and jokes about what a good ole' time he is havin'. Imagine the nightmarish shock of your family member's or friend's remains inside of a sealed box being too grotesque to be viewed and that spoiled, arrogant, swaggering son of a bitch is havin' a good ole' time obscenely profiting from it while enjoying over two and a half years of vacation during his disastrous seven and a half year "tenure".

Before he was governor of Texas this misbegotten drunken man child of a oil millionaire incompetently ran his oil company, Arbusto Oil (Bush in Spanish) into the ground, was bailed out by the BIN LADEN family and the unaccountable George W Bush got away with illegal short selling of stocks. The American public has yet to be informed about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in drug cartels, gun smuggling, and terrorist networks.

Since the House Judiciary Committee's Chairman Conyers has failed to act appropriately or in a reasonable timely fashion to Rep Dennis Kucinich's Articles of Impeachment for over a year, constituents and activists have been summarily ignored by their Representatives in Congress for over a year and "off the table" House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to deliberately obstruct justice, has signed off on torture and only follows orders from a foreign government, we are now encouraging a campaign to address these issues to the International Criminal Court for investigations of war crimes, torture, crimes against humanity, election frauds and over 100,000 counts of first degree mass murder on the grounds of "implied malice" and the unwillingness of members of Congress to pursue impeachment hearings. Even if we could get these thugs into a domestic federal court, the jurisdiction would be limited to the murder of 4,100 + American soldiers. The "Bush Administration's" epic corruption has contaminated the rule of law so badly that the domestic court's ability to conduct a fair trial cannot be trusted.

Bush and Cheney are actively threatening yet another war of aggression (Another War Crime) against Iran's nuclear facilities based on the same old Iraq lies. Please remember, the Center for Public Integrity has recently documented over 935 lies from Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell and Rumsfeld before America was defrauded into invading Iraq. The resultant radioactive fallout from their reckless bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities would be a threat to the biospheres of Asia Minor and Eurasia which would include several parties/sovereign nation members of the Hague's International Criminal Court. It would be logical that this fact alone could bring these issues within the Hague's jurisdiction. The Hague's jurisdiction could also apply here at home because Congress refuses to act on impeachment hearings and our other two branches of government have become all but null and void.

Russia's military has made it clear that any assault against Iran will be interpreted as an assault against Russia, the retaliation from which will be epic for everyone. The phonetically challenged president cannot comprehend the fact that Iran is not Iraq. Our broken military's logistics will certainly be cut off from the Straight of Hormuz with dire consequences for our overburdened soldiers and oil prices will certainly exceed $200 dollars/barrel overnight.

$10 + dollar/gal gas anyone?

Our Republic has been destroyed by a cabal of wretched, self enriching criminals. Bush has referred to our Constitution as just a "goddamned piece of paper" and it too has been all but destroyed. They have stolen our money, freedom, exploited our military for Israel's nefarious agendas of Mid East conquest and corporate oil, brutally invaded 2 countries that had nothing whatsoever to do with "9/11" or threatened us in any way, murdered over 1.2 million innocent people, destroyed the lives of over 5 million more innocent people and by "implied malice", murdered over 4,100 US soldiers. They have put us into unbelievable debt, alienated our allies and friends, deregulated the protections of our living environments and they are actively threatening/slandering more sovereign nations with hostile invasions. They lie constantly about their bogus "war on terror", while deliberately leaving our borders wide open for criminals and bio hazards to cross with impunity, millions of cargo containers are not inspected, Border Patrol Officers are harassed and innocent Americans who travel by air or cross our borders legitimately are groped, humiliated and harassed.

So, who are the real "terrorists"? Indeed, the bizarre behavior demonstrated by the "Bush Administration" could easily be compared to the modus operandi of the true perpetrators of the ruthless September 11th, 2001 attacks. Their behavior demonstrates that they are capable of anything.

This is one of the most important chapters in American history that I know of, because its when the wealthy few attempted to steal the country from the people, they committed treason plain and simple, the only time since the nation's infancy where our country would be taken from us, and they're getting away with it. They stole it, they did what no outside force could do and destroyed our democratic republic. But it can be undone.

Now is the time for everyone to forget about being good Republicans or Democrats and start focusing on being good Americans before America is completely destroyed by the most arrogant criminal regime in United States history.

Valiant efforts have been made here at AfterDowningStreet.org plus many more organizations by a lot of good Americans but the efforts of millions continues to be ignored. Protesting this illegitimate "government" has accomplished nothing but the data mining (spying) of Patriots and Nazi style police state harassment. Writing letters and calling the House Judiciary Committee yields similar results. Perhaps another approach is necessary. I implore every concerned Patriot who is aware of what is happening and reads this to join me by citing these issues in a letter or email to the International Criminal Court. These murderous criminals need to be given a fair trial for the entire civilized world to see.

No matter how hard the Zionist owned lamestream corporate media rubs or "spins" (Faux News Nutwork's Sleazy Adolescent Tabloid Trash/Propaganda/Lies), bovine excrement cannot be polished or shined, they look more stupid than ever trying to do it and the same Chicken Hawk Neocruds are repeating the same old lies again to defraud America into a Nuclear Holocaust against Iran. Oh yes, and the "Faux News Nutwork" also fails to mention the fact that Iran has not invaded anyone for over 200 years.

When any government lies to you 935 times, chronically steals from you, contaminates your living environment, becomes drunken from the blood of your children, imposes mean spirited accountability upon everyone but itself and smugly trivializes you, such a 'government' is uncivilized and has no legitimacy whatsoever. Since no legitimate citizen could ever be represented by such a 'government', NO ONE is obligated to pay it's 'taxes', we are legally and morally obligated to seize our stolen property from it and rid ourselves of it.

"Bush 'war crimes conference' to convene in Mass., plan prosecution of admin. officials

Stephen C. Webster
Published: Sunday June 22, 2008

On September 13-14, 2008, Lawrence Velvel, the dean of the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, plans to convene a 'convention' at the school's facilities; the attendees of which will plan strategies to prosecute members of the Bush administration for war crimes.

"This is not intended to be a mere discussion of violations of law that have occurred," stated Velvel in a press release. "It is, rather, intended to be a planning conference at which plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth.

"We must try to hold Bush administration leaders accountable in courts of justice. And we must insist on appropriate punishments, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war-criminals in the 1940's."

The dean specifically criticizes Justice Department officials who wrote legal opinions designed to provide political cover for administration figures to carry out torture. However, Velvel's sharpest words were saved for President Bush, according to a passage from ABA Journal.

"The man ultimately responsible for the torture had a unique preparation and persona for the presidency," wrote Velvel. "He is a former drunk, was a serial failure in business who had to repeatedly be bailed out by daddy's friends and wanna-be-friends, was unable to speak articulately despite the finest education(s) that money and influence can buy, has a dislike of reading, so that 100-page memos have to be boiled down to one page for him, is heedless of facts and evidence, and appears not even to know the meaning of truth."

I believe bush is a serial felony violator of the USA Patriot Act. A prosecutor in the United States Military, a JAG or perhaps some types of Military judges should be able to bring charges against bush using the USA Patriot Act.

If we can get the fired Generals behind Bugliosi, then there would be flame.

Too bad Bugliosi will miss this party, online. But he's a smart guy. I bet Bugliosi sees the internet as the way to reach out to these prosecutors, and we will be waiting here for him, patiently. Makes ya feel old don't it. Babies gotta come to the internet, lol.
