What's Your Insurance Denial Horror Story?

"The American Dream Is Gone! We Need Single Payer Now!>

Medical bills involve 60% of American bankruptcies, and there are many more economic reasons to support Medicare for All, a Single-Payer system.

In Chapter 17, "Spare Change for Real Change" of Daybreak, David Swanson raised the issue of single payer health care. Physicians for A National Health Program "believes that access to high-quality health care is a right of all people and should be provided equitably as a public service rather than bought and sold as a commodity."

We know that health care costs are fueling job losses and that potential wage increases are being absorbed into health care premiums instead of into workers' paychecks. And we know that every dollar paid to results into only 70 cents in actual health care payments; that other 30% goes to "administrative costs" like CEO exorbitant salaries, marketing, advertising, and lobbying - of which there are 6 lobbyists per congressional member working to stop health care insurance reform.

And we know that women earn 78 cents for every dollar paid to men. And that some old men resent women's health care needs.

So, the question is: "What's Your Insurance Denial Horror Story?"
