The WMD's of War and Occupations

By jimstaro - Posted on 23 July 2010

"Weapons of Mass Destruction {WMD}" has become the new mainstream term of this new century in condemning others, as well as and connected to criminal terrorist acts, to give reason for invasions and occupations, not to mention to make sure it scares the bejeebish out of the masses {same as the Cold War Nuclear threat}. As those using the term to justify an invasion, reigning terror on mostly innocent people, War of Choice, while using the many different WMD's of War that have always existed and been perfected as well as adding new developed WMD's to the stockpiles of destructive weapons and trauma's of War. At the same time worrying about criminal terror element, foreign or domestic, stealing the makings of the same WMDs the advanced nations are developing.

We've had many instances of the Long Lasting remnants of War, every War, left over in the invaded and occupied countries, that kill and maim for decades later. Like landmines or unexploded ordinances and the long term affects of the nuclear bombs not just in talking about the possibility of use but the one time they were directly used by the United States on others. From the occupation I served in Vietnam we have the left over remnants mentioned above sans the nuclear but also just one of the many possible deadly chemical weapons often now used as examples of WMD's that others may use against the so called free democracies and the citizens of, in that case the ongoing effects of Agent Orange { Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign }

There are a number of questions about the present day use of updated and the stockpiled weapons, and more, some mentioned above, in these two long lasting destructive occupations still ongoing in Afghanistan and Iraq. One of those is Depleted Uranium in many different types of ordinance used these past years in both theaters and even before, in these modern times. A new report has come out and I'm sure there will be plenty more in the future that will be denied as to the lasting affects as each report comes forward. Just as Agent Orange, and the other defoliants, were and still are being denied as long term damaging WMDs even with the ever growing proof they are and the meager attempts to help the victims while the guilty, Us, still refuse to admit our guilt for all the suffering of the innocents!

US war machine using depleted uranium

Iraqi baby born deformed from depleted uranium

23 July 2010 A report shows that US and British forces used depleted uranium (DU) ammunitions during the US invasion of Iraq in 2003.

An official inquiry has found more than 40 sights across the war-torn country that is contaminated with high levels of radiation and antioxidants.

A joint study by the environmental health and science ministry in Iraq says there are communities near the cities of Najaf, Basra and Fallujah with increased rates of cancer and birth defects over the past five years.

It is reported that the US and Britain used up to 2,000 tons of these ammunitions during the Iraq war.

The use of uranium ammunition is widely controversial because of potential long term health effects. The US and Britain used up to 2000 tons of these ammunitions during the Iraq war.

Iraq's Ministry for Human Rights is expected to file a lawsuit against Britain and the US over their use of depleted uranium bombs in Iraq. Continued

We Vietnam Veterans know full well, as our brothers have suffered with some still and many have passed on from, that what the military uses doesn't only affect the citizens of an war and occupation long term but also the soldiers sent.

UK Uranium Weapons Network submits evidence to Iraq War Inquiry

8 July 2010 The UK Uranium Weapons Network (UWN) announced today that it has submitted its report on British military use of depleted uranium (DU) ammunition in the 2003 Iraq War to the Chilcot Inquiry.

The report examines the health risks associated with depleted uranium and the failure of the Coalition Authority to decontaminate in the aftermath of the conflict.

The report concludes that the UK failed to fulfil its moral obligation to clean up DU contamination which has the potential to seriously harm the health of Iraqi civilians. The report also observes that the ongoing refusal of the US to release data on where it used depleted uranium munitions continues to confound meaningful research into its impact and presents a threat to the health of civilians. Latest documents advocating the ban of depleted uranium

23 July 2010 To all those and their associates who remain in denial about the ill-effects of DU in order to keep it as a deadly nuclear tool in the DOD arsenal, let me submit for their and everyone else’s edification some recent documents gathered from reliable government and non-government sources. I have relied on these impeccable sources partially to provide totally independent information for study. Continued

Cancer, leukaemia and infant mortality are all increasing in the Iraqi town of Fallujah, which saw fierce fighting between US forces and Sunni insurgents, a new survey says.
