Sign Conyers' Letter to Bush
Congressman John Conyers is the leader we're hoping we can turn to for a Resolution of Inquiry. Read below what he's saying about the Downing Street Minutes. At the bottom of the article follow the link to sign the letter to the President.

Dear Friend:
As many of you are aware, a classified memo was recently disclosed in Great Britain that I believe has serious ramifications for the integrity of the United States Government.
Dubbed the Downing Street Memo, but actually comprising the minutes of a meeting of Prime Minister Tony Blair and other top British government officials, the memo casts serious doubt on many of the contentions of the Bush Administration in the lead up to the Iraq war. With over 1,600 U.S. servicemen and servicewomen killed in Iraq, the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and over $200 billion in taxpayer funds going to this war effort, we cannot afford to stand by any longer.
Along with 88 of my colleagues, I wrote to the President requesting answers about this grave matter. Thus far, our search for the truth has been stonewalled and I need your help. I believe the American people deserve answers about this matter and should demand directly that the President tell the truth about the memo. To that end, I am asking you to sign on to a letter to the President requesting he answer the questions posed to him by 89 Members of Congress.
I will personally insure that this letter is delivered to the White House.
You can read the letter here and sign on to it below. You and I know the White House is just hoping that this matter will fade away, but in a few short weeks, with our steadfastness, the memo has found its way into leading newspapers and White House press briefings. With your help, we can hold this Administration accountable.
Please pass on this important letter to your friends and colleagues, and ask them to sign as well.
Thank you for your help and support.
John Conyers, Jr.
EMAIL CONGRESSMAN CONYERS to thank him for this and ask him to introduce a Resolution of Inquiry.

I suspect there are many like me who, on this Memorial Day Weekend, are seeing the first glimmer of hope that the Bush administration will finally be called upon to answer for the horrors of an unjustified war, the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians, war profiteering, official policies of torture, backroom deals with brutal dictators and a host of other heinous crimes to numerous to mention in this forum. Many, again like me, may also be filled with a smug satisfaction in knowing that we were indeed correct in our very worst assumptions about this man and his administration, and we are now sincerely hoping the potential destruction of his credibility may collapse his other lies around him like a house of cards. My elation over even the smallest movement towards the discovery of truth and accountability for these individuals is however, hideously marred by the misery, pain, disgust and deaths resulting from their actions. My satisfaction regarding the Downing Street Memo’s potential impact is subdued, marred, impugned by the knowledge that so many valiant and real heroes who served our country with dignity, honor and courage have had their reputations sullied and disgraced by the actions of these selfish, self-serving, self-aggrandizing thugs as they corrupted the very ideals that these brave individuals fought and died for.
So on this day when we as a nation may be witnessing the historic beginning to the removal of a truly malignant man and the cancerous administration currently metastasizing throughout our political system, may we all stop for just a moment and say a silent thank you to those who came, fought and died before us to ensure we could take action against those who have abused and corrupted the power of the United States Government for their own benefit. We owe them our effort, our strength and our courage in the face of adversity that is sure to accompany this endeavor and they would expect no less as repayment for their ultimate sacrifice.
Let the battle begin…

Time To Take Our Country Back Impeach Bush, Cheney Rumy
Conyers and Boxer are the real heros in the efforts for election reform and the search for the truth about our illegal invasion of Iraq. There are some people left with enough backbone to stand up to the criminals and sociopaths this administration has stockpiled. Keep up the pressure; the 2006 elections are nigh, and could change the direction this country has sadly taken.

ACCOUNTABILITY- NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW- (BIG WORDS) The question is do they still have meaning? If this big pile of shredded Constitution isn't cleaned out from under the rug in the White House ,President Obama could very well trip over it. Its very simple - JUST INVESTIGATE - If people are innocent fine,if they are guilty ,Democrat or Republican ,so be it. LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THEY MAY. If there is no investigation my faith and I know quite a few others will come to the conclusion that the White House is controlled by crooks and it is Just business as usual. There is one chance to restore the respect and our standing in the world. You still can't beat sunlight ,the best antiseptic. Doug Hergert
