Cops & Docs Force Anal Cavity Searches on Man After Traffic Stop

This country is a police state. This country is a police state. Only in a police state could cops -- colluding with medical doctors, no less -- force 8 -- -- anal cavity searches on a man after a minor traffic stop.

No, I am not making this up, for all you clueless naysayers out there who have your heads in the sand (or somewhere else -- but no worries; the cops will help you find it so you can get it back).

Armed cops raid home of American reporter, seize files

Armed agents bashing down your door before dawn, while you're still asleep in bed or in the shower or on the toilet, pointing guns at you and screaming, scaring the shit out of you and your children, and often, one of their favorites, shooting your family pet? And sometimes, for good measure, raiding the wrong house?

Where does this happen? And how often?

TSA announcements about jokes — still bogus

Well, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, and I don’t care how many times the TSA tries to refute it with their lies:

There is no law saying you can’t crack a joke at the checkpoint.

There is no law saying you can’t crack a joke at the checkpoint.

US Security Forces Harassing People Even Before They Travel

When are people going to get it??

Our government is spying on all of us and using the information it collects not only to gate-rape us at the airport, which the masses of sheeple don't give a shit about, but to target and harass people based purely on their ethnicity.

Leaked TSA document causing trouble for Jon Corbett

Our buddy Jon Corbett is back in the news again.

TSA air marshal taking pix up women’s dresses

Gee, why am I not surprised?

Just another criminal in the already criminal ranks of the TSA.

Dry Runs and Dry Ice: the United States of Paranoia

Two stories have come to light in the past few days that have some people on edge and others suspicious.

First is the story of a so-called "dry run" (or two, depending on who you read) aboard an airplane from Washington, D.C. to Orlando, Florida in September.

TSA still assaulting, abusing passengers – so what else is new?

The Arizona Republic filed a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request, and guess what they found out? That the TSA abuses people at the checkpoint.

Gee, I’m shocked.

Another person finally wakes up to TSA abuse

Hard to believe as it is that people still don’t know what the TSA is doing in this country ("as long as nothing happens to me, it's all okay!"), I’m always glad to meet a new convert. Even if it means that in order to be converted, that person has to be mistreated him- or herself. Unfortunately, that seems to be the way the world works. As the saying by Livy goes, “Eventus stultorum magister est” — “Fools must be taught by experience.”

TSA Gropers Working Without Pay

Ha ha ha ha! Best news I've heard all week:

TSA employees working without pay during shutdown

What Kind of Man? (or woman, for that matter?)

I have posted and reposted this comment all over the place since I first saw it at Time magazine in June of 2011:

If we don't like what you're doing, we'll just destroy your shit

If you think Sunday's story was bad -- and it was -- wait'll you hear this.

TSA manager Shane Hinkle charged with sexual abuse

And yet another TSA agent has been arrested for sexual assault.

Oh, well. Just another day in the TSA!

Black women’s hair once again focus of clueless TSA

My Master List of TSA Crimes and Abuses is full of stories like this -- and worse -- where a black woman has her hair pawed by a blue-shirted goon in the name of "security." But apparently people still don't get it.

TSA News HuffPost Live video link

I was on the Alyona Minkovski Show on HuffPost Live last night with former TSA Administrator Kip Hawley and EPIC Administrative Law Counsel Khaliah Barnes to talk about the TSA’s VIPR teams.

TSA overreacts -- again -- to smart-ass comment

In another episode in the continuing saga of The Buffoons in Blue Overreact to Every Squeak, Burp, and Fart at the Checkpoint, a 26-year-old man at Bradley Airport in Connecticut was detained by the TSA and arrested by police for being a smartass.

Uncle Sam Wants Your Passwords - Deal With It

In a revelation that only somebody living under a rock could possibly find surprising, the federal government wants your passwords, and the encryption on your passwords.

You peon, how can you be so stupid as to think you have rights?

Haven't you learned anything over the past 12 years?

Federal Judge Parades Her Ignorance, Approves Torture of Guantanamo Prisoners

A U.S. District Judge not only doesn't know what torture is, she doesn't know her own history.

Guantanamo Prisoners' Groins Protected; Too Bad Yours Aren't

In an excellent ruling that provides rare good news for the prisoners illegally detained at Guantanamo, a U.S. judge reveals that he actually has a sense of justice. The good news for the prisoners, however, doesn't extend to the rest of us.

20 pages of objections to the TSA's body scanners submitted, by Sommer Gentry

Apologies for the length of this post, but there are so many good reasons to oppose the TSA’s nude body scanner program, and we here at TSA News would not want to neglect outlining any of them! Here’s a preview:

June 24th is D-Day: last day to submit public comments about TSA

Monday, June 24, 2013, is the final day to submit your public comments about the TSA. Links all over this blog . . .

If you don’t exercise your rights and speak up when they’re violated, don’t be surprised when they’re taken away. As of this writing, only 4,000 people have submitted comments about the TSA to the public docket. That’s out of a country of 300 million (yes, I know not everyone flies). What does that tell you about whether people give a toss about their rights?

TSA screener slut-shames 15-year-old girl, by Sommer Gentry

Mark Fraunfelder’s 15-year-old daughter was at LAX yesterday, trying to board a flight with a group of other students on a trip to visit some colleges. Unfortunately, the U.S. government had decided ahead of time to hire tens of thousands of strangers to intimidate and abuse her (and others) as they blocked the girl’s safe passage to her airplane.

NSA and TSA: a match made in heaven (or hell, depending on your point of view)

Jeffrey Goldberg, who writes for The Atlantic and Bloomberg News, has a new column wherein he relates the recently revealed mass surveillance of the NSA to the ongoing abuses of the TSA.

He’s right. They are related. All of the practices of the National Security State are related, as some of us have been saying for years.

TSA agent pulls woman’s breast prosthesis out of her bra

I get tired of writing these posts. These abuses are so common (no, they’re not “outliers”) and the reaction of the public so apathetic, it just becomes wearying.

Another day, another abusive TSA experience

Another day, another abusive TSA experience. And why not? The government thinks it owns our thoughts, as the Big Brotheresque surveillance proves; why shouldn't it also own our bodies? These issues are all related. Yet the millions of willfully clueless out there refuse to acknoweldge it.

From the No Kidding Dept: auditor rates TSA epic fail

We’ve only been telling you this for years. And now the DHS Inspector General is saying it, too.

The TSA’s so-called “behavior detection program” is an expensive, risible failure. Or as we like to call it, voodoo.

Another TSA employee spills the beans, by Lisa Simeone

Friend of the blog NJR of Taking Sense Away has allowed us to cross-post his entries for some time now. He gave me a heads-up last week that the following would hit his pages today. So here it is.

And there's a revelation afoot:

TSA milks scanner story, scanners still in airports, our rights still violated, by Lisa Simeone

Of course the TSA is getting PR mileage out of its recent (forced) decision on the strip-search scanners, and the credulous media are only too happy to play along.
