Redact This! Artists Against Torture isn't just for the art world, and it's not just for the human rights community. The work in this book is helping to expose the issue of torture to every demographic.  Look what these Manhattan College students had to say about the project after presenting it to them last year:

On February 19 at 12pm, David Schwittek, creator of Redact This! Artists Against Torture, gave an interview and discussion about the Redact This! project.

Redact This! is a collective, artistic response to acts of torture at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, and CIA black sites, containing the work of internationally recognized artists Fernando Botero, Jenny Holzer, Richard Serra, Dread Scott, Sandow Birk, Steven Powers, Daniel Heyman, and many others.

Mr. Schwittek was interviewed by Debra Sweet, Director of World Can’t Wait. This interview and informal Q&A session covers the history of the Redact This! project, the artwork and artists in the book, the process of bringing this project to fruition, and its importance to the anti-torture movement.

This discussion was held in the Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx NY.
