Video: Stop the Incinerator March/Rally Held in South Baltimore

On a cold Wednesday afternoon, December 18th, social justice activists marched and rallied in South Baltimore. The issue: “Stop the Incinerator.” A New York-based company, “Energy Answers,” is looking to construct a $1 billion incinerator in the Curtis Bay/Fairfield area, only a mile or so from two public schools; one located in Curtis Bay and another in Brooklyn. If built, it would be the largest incinerator of its kind in the U.S. Governor Martin O’Malley and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who have reportedly received political contributions from “Energy Answers,” support the project.
