Only 1 out of 23 supports & defends the Constitution
Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board member, Tom Nordyke, took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and is willing to fulfill his oath. He also doesn’t seem to care who knows it.

Jodin Morey speaking with Mayor Rybak on May Dayby Mikael Rudolph of ImpeachforPeace.org
Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak asks ImpeachforPeace.org to "not include me as someone who supports impeachment"
In an article published by our organization on Monday, May 7th, the day after the May Day parade: Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak: 'Bush/Cheney actions justify impeachment' we reported that the mayor had approached us in the staging area prior to the parade and told us that he was in favor of the impeachment of President George W. Bush.
In light of a strong denial issued from the mayor's office concerning his support - or rather lack thereof - of impeachment, we feel compelled to share our experience.
FOX 2 Detroit - City Council 1st big city to vote on impeachment
30 May 2007, Fox Channel 2
My Fox Detroit reporter: The Detroit City Council is the first organization from a big city to vote on impeaching the President.
Detroit isn't even one of the first to merely consider impeachment. Many unions, political parties, other organizations (big and small), cities (small, large and huge) and states have already approved impeachment resolutions. This is more Fox News misinformation. Everybody knows Americans want the U.S. out of Iraq and George Bush and his cronies held accountable for all the spying, the lying and the dying. To imagine that Detroit is the first place impeachment (not to mention imprisonment) has been talked about is a mere polite fiction. It's twaddle at best. Just more of the BIG BUSH LIE.
And don't forget all the Out of Iraq, No War on Iran, the Censure Bush and Censure Cheney resolutions, all the debates, discussion, news stories, press releases and just plain old street corner discussion that's been had from here since 20 January 2000.

Where's the Constitution?
On 20 March 2003 military forces of the United States invaded Iraq. In May Army Chief of Staff Eric K. Shinseki authorized this version of the Soldiers Creed a product of the "Warrior Ethos" program. This is what the U.S. Army is teaching our soldiers. The U.S Air Force, the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard teach their members similar things.
I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, Trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.
(Soldiers will typically shout "Hooah!" at the conclusion of the Soldier's Creed.)
The Soldiers Creed does not mention the Constitution of the United States. The new Airman's Creed adopted on 18 April 2007 doesn't mention the Constitution either. Nor does the Marine Corps' Rifleman's Creed. Neither is it to be found in the Coast Guardsman's Creed.

Ms. Otto,
For that matter what could a Sergeant in the Marine Corps do to support and defend the Constitution? Shifting the responsibility to do something, anything, you can do to fulfill your oath is shirking your duty. It's hard for me to believe you take your oath as anything except a minor detail of assuming your office when you tell me to contact my representatives on "the federal level". How easy. How routine. How callow. How like a Good German. The Constitution of the United States is threatened by the highest office in the land.
Living off (supporting) the troops
I recently posted this graphic. It updated the graphic that could be entitled “Solders of Fortune/Soldiers of Misfortune.
The updated version prompted an anonymous posting. It and my response are below.
First, I’d like to share some episodes from my own military service. They might help to add a little understanding to what it means to support the troops.
Ask Them
Will your elected officials stand idle while constitutionally guaranteed rights are violated? Will you local sheriff or policeman? Or, worse, will they take an active part in depriving us of our rights? It’s time you asked them.
The Real Big Tent - Impeachment
A28-Minneapolis - Here we are putting the demos, the people, back in democracy. More photos.
A28-Minneapolis (PM)
Our AM event was cancelled by circumstances beyond our control. Our PM event came off O.K. The Canoe IMPEACH with 68 foot letters stretching 378 feet across Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis would have been something to behold. But, bedsheets, people and flashlights under the flight path of the international airport isn't anything to sneeze at.
