At the California Democratic Party State Convention the last weekend in April in San Diego, the number one resolution that was affirmed by the full state party convention called on the U.S. Congress to use its subpoena power to investigate misdeeds requiring investigations into wrongdoing's by Dick Cheney and George Bush: “with appropriate remedies and punishment, including impeachment.” The success of this passage was due to the tireless efforts of impeachment activists and primarily by the outstanding leadership and efforts of Tim Carpenter, National Director of PDA.
CAP and SAC PA bring to Sacramento a dynamic speaker and expert on impeachment, Elizabeth de la Vega. Elizabeth de la Vega is a former federal prosecutor of 20+ years experience and author of the book "U.S. v. BUSH." Dr. Bill Durston will be guest hosting this event!
In her book, "U.S. v. BUSH" Elizabeth conducts a hypothetical grand jury indictment of administration officials who conspired to defraud the United States by misleading the nation into war. What is the process for impeachment established by the Constitution? How does this process work in a partisan political system?
After the Town Hall Forum, there will be a book signing by Elizabeth. Copies of her book "U.S. v. BUSH" will be available for purchase.
