Real Counter Recruiting

I thought you would appreciate some pictures from the PWC (Prince William County, VA) Fair. VFP 16 shared a booth with the Prince William County Peacemakers. The fair lasted 8 days and we may have recruited up to 20 people. We'll see. But I wanted to let you know I started to put your posters to work. Steve Hayes and I will be starting some mobile recruiting soon. He has his truck rigged up for exactly that purpose. This guy is coming to D.C. next week so we may be helping him as well.

Note: I have been trying to get the Veterans for Peace and other peace groups to do more than merely counter recruit in the sense of warning people about the realities of military service. I think they should offer an alternative. Everytime counter recruiters go into a school or where ever they should post recruiting posters for peace groups. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Actually, peace recruiting posters should be in coffee shops, libraries and shopping malls - everywhere- too.
