Subj: FYI: Future Port Competition??
I would think that this proposed port at Jacksonville, FLA below would use the Panama Canal, when the expansion is completed in 2014. The rest of the country is trying to get in on the action, cargo container shipments from Asia.
I hope that my plan to save the Calif ports holds. Hopefully by notifying Congressman Jerry Lewis ahead of time prior to the FY 2009 Federal Budget process will kill any and all funding to dredge and make the ports in the Gulf of Mexico deep water ports.
