APOPHIS ASTEROID HEADED TOWARDS EARTH!
http://news.aol.com/article/asteroid-apophis/426922?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl1|link3|http%3A%2F%2Fnews.aol.com%2Farticle%2Fasteroid-apophis%2F426922
RECENTLY, I PUBLISHED AN ARTICLE ON THIS SUBJECT MATTER BELOW:
"SHOULDN'T NASA'S HIGHEST PRIORITY BE TO DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES TO DEFLECT INCOMING COMETS AND ASTEROIDS, SIMILAR TO THE NEAR MISS RECENTLY, RATHER THAN TO EXPLORE POSSIBLE OTHER LIFE BEARING PLANETS?
IT APPEARS THAT NASA'S PRIORITIES ARE MISPLACED BY THE RECENT LAUNCH OF A SATELLITE TO EXPLORE OTHER POSSIBLE LIFE BEARING PLANETS. THIS MAYBE EXCITING TO THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL FANATICS IN NASA, BUT A HIT BY AN ASTEROID SIMILAR TO THE ONE THAT JUST MISSED EARTH THE OTHER WEEK CAN BE THE EARTH'S DOOM!
IT IS TIME TO STOP JUST EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT POSSIBLE COLLISIONS OF ASTEROIDS AND COMETS AND TO DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES TO DEFLECT SUCH OBJECTS.
ADDENDUM: ON MARCH 10, 2009, THE HISTORY CHANNEL AIRED AN EPISODE THAT FURTHER FRUSTRATES MY CONCERN REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THE HISTORY CHANNEL POINTS OUT THAT EVEN IF A "NEAR EARTH OBJECT" (NEO) WAS DETECTED HEADING TOWARDS THE EARTH, THERE IS NO PROTOCOL IN PLACE TO DECIDE WHO WOULD ORDER MITIGATING MEASURES (DEFLECT THE OBJECT) TO DEFLECT THE OBJECT FROM ITS EARTH PATH. IN OTHER WORDS, NASA IS PREVENTED FROM DEFLECTING IT, BECAUSE NO ONE OR ENTITY IS CURRENTLY IN CHARGE TO ORDER THE NEO TO BE DEFLECTED.
THEREFORE THIS MATTER HAS BEEN REFERRED TO THE UNITED NATIONS FOR ACTION.
CURRENTLY, THE EARTH IS VULNERABLE TO A HIT BY A NEO!
EMAIL PRESIDENT OBAMA TO INTERVENE REGARDING THIS MATTER NOW!
ADDENDUM #2: --A POSSIBLE SOLUTION--
RECOMMEND INSTEAD OF CUTTING BACK FORMER PRESIDENT REAGAN'S STAR WARS PROGRAM,THAT IN ADDITION TO MISLE DEFENSE, IT BE FUNDED TO DIVERT IN COMING COMETS AND ASTEROIDS, NEAR EARTH OBJECTS(NEO).
SOONER OR LATER, A (NEO) WILL BE HEADED ON A PATH TO BOMBARD THE EARTH!!!
CC: PRESIDENT OBAMA"
