Phil in Port Orange Writes An Open Letter to the "Wake Up Daytona" Guys at WELE 1380 AM
Hi Doug, Doug and Tom of "Wake Up Daytona" on WELE 1380 AM,
I've been listening in and am glad to hear you guys talking about the U.S. Constitution, the Founding Fathers, and "the Rule Of Law" on your program. Hopefully you will take the time to watch the following short YouTube videos from the recent gathering in Tampa of the Florida Oathkeepers and the speeches given by the national commander of The Patriots, Lt. Col. Robert M. Bowman, and the coordinator for the Orlando chapter of We Are Change Florida, Joshua Parrish.
You want to talk about real "defenders of the Constitution"? Then take a listen to these powerful and spot-on speeches. Hopefully you will invite them onto your 5-day/week, 4-hour/day morning radio program "Wake Up Daytona" as I'm sure that your listeners could learn even more about the U.S. Constitution and what they can do as citizens to protect it.

Comments and observations which I hope that you and your listeners will consider:
Since the national elections in November 2008 there has been a new found interest in the U.S. Constitution amongst many whose deafening silence served as their consent for its treatment as a "G.D. piece of paper" and its blatant dismantling in the passing of Patriot Act I in 2001 and Patriot Act II in 2003 (eliminating the 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendments), the 2006 Military Commissions Act (ending Habeus Corpus protections and eliminating the 6th and 7th Amendments), John Warner National Defense Authorization Act (ending Posse Comitatus in America), the Illegal Domestic Wiretapping program publicly admitted to by the President in December 2005 and the subsequent continuation and expansion of illegal wiretapping of Americans instead of accountability (in violation of the 4th Amendment and standing FISA law), Martial Law and dictatorial powers granted by Presidential Decision Directive 51 in May of 2007 ... not to mention the illegal practice of torture (according to both U.S. and International standing law), the prosecuting of illegal wars of aggression and occupation due to a false claim of self-defense in response to an "imminent threat" of attack later being proven to be a premeditated, calculated, and intentional falsehood (aka "a deliberate lie") ... all of which have not only NOT been repealed and/or reversed, let alone investigated and prosecuted, but in fact expanded and funded by President Obama and an enormous bi-partisan support from Congress.
As folks who claim to be so concerned about the U.S. Constitution, why is it that you and your listeners still are not talking about any of the above ? I suspect the reason to be that it's because all of the offenses mentioned above took place at the hand of "your guys" while "your team" was in power and the obvious inability to admit those offenses to being wrong because of one's own personal identity being so invested in one's "team". If that is the case then it is painfully clear that regardless of your claims as defenders of the Constitution, your allegiance to "your team" and its "players" still comes before the U.S. Constitution ... the very reason that the founding fathers did not intend for political parties. Hopefully as you continue to explore and talk about the U.S. Constitution on your program, you and your listeners will be able to put the two allegiances in better order ... for the sake of all of us. The time is much later than we think, guys.
Once again, thanks for providing a great program for those of us in the Daytona Beach area. You are doing the community a great service.
Sincerely,
Phil Restino (aka Phil in Port Orange)

Hi Chip,
Thanks so much for posting this open letter. I can't urge folks enough to make the time to watch/listen to the speeches linked in this post, which cover torture, "the terrorists", illegal wars of aggression, the loss of our constitutional republic to the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank and multi-national corporations and banks. Hopefully lots of readers from ADS will take the time to watch/listen to the speeches and then forward this post to others.
Thanks again, Chip.
