Honduran Coup Leader, General Velasquez in Miami THIS Saturday, July 25

I have just received an email from Just Foreign Policy indicating that General Romeo Vasquez Velasquez, the military leader of the coup in Honduras, is scheduled to be in MIAMI THIS SATURDAY, JULY 25th, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

Velasquez is scheduled to speak between 9:45am and 10:45am....after “Morning worship.”

The event is being organized by MIGApartners and “Prophet” Jaime Chavez, from Honduras. According to Prophet Chavez, the goal of the conference is to impart event-goers with “a tremendous impartation of the apostolic and prophetic anointing, as our speakers release powerful revelation concerning God’s Kingdom in the earthy today, and how you can live victoriously in His Kingdom no matter what is happening in the world system.”

The strange schedule of speakers includes a host of purported Prophets, Bishops, and Apostles. Not unsurprising, the goal of the ministries of these people seems to be about the almighty dollar. If I’m not confusing MIGA Partners with another organization then the group’s website is very telling of what this conference and Velasquez’s appearance is really all about, MONEY.

While Naiman bemoans the fact that the General may just walk right into our country without being rejected by our government, I see this as an amazing opportunity to further express our solidarity with the Honduran people.
