More Corruption in Afghanistan As Karzai Embraces Warlords

This 2 part film, Return of the Warlords, in Afghanistan, before
the elections by Pres. Karzai marks the beginning of a more corrupt
and dangerous Afghanistan. The Obama administration knows about
the return of the warlords. Just how such a corrupt government will
fit into his new plans/policies along with the military requests for more
troops remains to be seen over the next two (2) weeks.
American filmmakers Rick Rowley and Jason Motlagh, showed
great courage in going to Afghanistan and filming in the territory of the
dangerous warlord, General Rashid Dostum documenting reactions
from some of the Afghan people who support him and others who despise
him for all the violence and murders of the past 30 years of his rule.
This and other films are presented by People Power, AlJazeera.net/english.
Rick Rowley recently was interviewed on www.democracynow.com .
He says, "While the US and NATO face their highest casualty rates of the
conflict, widespread fraud in the recent presidential elections has raised
questions about just what kind of political system US and Nato troops are
dying to protect."
Hopefully President Obama will seriously consider this reactionary
development in the Afghanistan government in his deliberations about
Gen. McChrystals request for more troops there...
