Charlotteans Welcome End The Fed Rally on Sunday, Nov. 22 at the the Federal Reserve Bank

What: End the Fed Rally

When: Sunday, November 22, 2009, 1-4 PM

Where: Charlotte Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank, 530 E Trade St Charlotte, NC 28202

In a press release issued effectively on November 8, 2009, a rally will be staged at 530 East Trade St, Charlotte, NC 28202, directly in front of the Federal Reserve building, in direct response to North Carolina Congressman Mel Watt's stripping of Texas Congressman Ron Paul's "Audit the Fed" bill, which would give complete transparency to the Federal Reserve bank, the bank which, in effect, controls the complete economy of the United States. The details are listed below, taken directly from the press release: NORTH CAROLINA RALLIES FOR GREATER FEDERAL RESERVE TRANSPARENCY CHARLOTTE, NC, NOVEMBER 08, 2009: Groups and individuals alike will gather in 39 cities across the U.S. on Sunday, November 22, 2009 to call out the Federal Reserve Bank, its lack of accountability, and push for the legislation introduced by Congressman Ron Paul H.R. 1207 and S. 604. More information on these bills can be found at http://auditthefed.com. The location of the rally is at the Charlotte Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank, 530 E Trade St Charlotte, NC 28202. The trans-partisan coalition rallying for monetary freedom and transparency welcome any and all supporters of Federal Reserve transparency. The rally is free and open to the public and will begin at 1:00pm, lasting until around 4:00pm.

Confirmed speakers include former NC 4th District Congressional Candidate William “BJ” Lawson (R), nationally recognized anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, current NC Senate Candidate Mike Beitler (L), 9/12 Organizer from Murphy, NC, Dr. Dan Eichenbaum, including a musical performance. “The diversity of speakers,” says Pat Armstrong an organizer of the rally, “shows just how much of a trans-partisan issue Federal Reserve transparency really is and how important it is to all concerned American citizens.”

The date of the rally marks the 99th year since the Federal Reserve?s inception. Jared Fuller, North Carolina Chairman to Young Americans for Liberty (http://YALiberty.org), sums up the significance of the rally by saying: “Americans are fed up with the Federal Reserve Bank and its lack of accountability. Its operations are questionable, its closed-door deals are illegitimate, it devalues our dollar daily and it unjustly taxes Americans through the hidden tax of monetary inflation. In short, Americans are concerned about the future of their money and they are pointing at the one organization responsible for its devaluation and loss of credibility on the world economic stage: The quasi-private, no-reserve, Federal Reserve Bank.” Congressman Paul?s Bill, H.R. 1207 “The Federal Reserve Transparency Act,” currently has 308 cosponsors but was recently „gutted? by Congressman Mel Watt (D, NC 12). “There’s nothing left, it’s been gutted,” Congressman Paul said in a recent interview with Bloomberg. “This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.”

In retaliation to Mel Watt's action to strip the bill of many of its key provisions, people from all over North Carolina and the nation are gathering at the Federal Reserve Bank on Sunday, November 22nd 2009 at the Charlotte branch location of 530 E Trade St Charlotte, NC 28202. Further information on the event can be found via the following event page: http://tinyurl.com/ncfederalreserve.

This is a nonpartisan event, and all who have an interest in the economy of the United States should come.
