"Seven Years Too Many" New York Peace Groups To Proclaim As Eighth Year in Iraq Begins

"SEVEN YEARS TOO MANY," NEW YORK PEACE GROUPS TO PROCLAIM AS EIGHTH YEAR IN IRAQ BEGINS

On March 20, 2003, the U.S. illegally and immorally invaded Iraq.

To mark the seven years since our occupation began, a compendium of New York peace groups will take to the streets March 19 and 20 and demand that all troops, including those in Afghanistan, be brought home NOW.

DATE: Friday, March 19, 2010
TIME: noon - 3 p.m. (march to the WTC site to begin at 1 P.M.)
PLACE: Chambers St. Recruiting center, 143 Chambers St. & West Broadway

DATE: Saturday, March 20, 2010
TIME: 1 - 2 p.m.
PLACE: Military Recruiting Center, 7th Ave. at 44th St.

Ten anti-war groups, united for the occasion as "The Seven Years Too Many" Coalition, will rally on Friday, March 19, at noon at the Chambers St. Army recruiting center at 143 Chambers & West Broadway, then march to the nearby Marine Corps recruiting office, on to the Borough of Manhattan Community College, and finishing at the Vesey St. PATH entrance at the World Trade Center site for leafletting with signs and banners.

The next day, Saturday, March 20, the protesters will hold a rally at the Times Square Army recruiting center, 44th St. at 7th Ave, from 1 to 2 p.m. A Question & Answer format will be employed with signs showing the human (soldiers, civilians, journalists) and monetary costs of war in response to chanted questions.

"Thousands upon thousands of soldiers and millions of Iraqis have been killed, and physically and mentally damaged in a war caused by a few men's lies, deceptions and misjudgments," said Grandmothers Against the War member Barbara Walker. "The fact that it has gone on for seven years is beyond tragic. The American public is so focused on important health care and jobs issues that they have forgotten another vital concern -- our young treasures are still dying in Iraq and Afghanistan."

The featured speaker on Saturday will be State Sen Bill Perkins, a valued champion of the peace movement. Closing remarks will be given by Vietnam war vet, chaplain Hugh Bruce.

Participating organizations include:

  • CODEPINK NYC
  • Grandmothers Against the War
  • Granny Peace Brigade
  • Greenwich Village Coalition for Peaceful Priorities
  • North Manhattan Neighbors for Peace & Justice
  • NYC United for Peace & Justice
  • NYC War Resisters League
  • Peace Action New York State
  • Veterans for Peace Chapter 34 NYC
  • West Side Peace Action

The public is urged to attend one or both events. "The bigger the turnout, the bigger the impact on the war makers safely ensconced behind their desks in Washington," said Cheryl Wertz, Executive Director of Peace Action New York State.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil but because of those who look on and do nothing." --Albert Einstein--

Seven Years Too Many . . . And For Whom??? Cui bono? Who has benefitted???

Of course, Abe "If WE Hate You, You're An Anti-Semite" Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) insists that "Our Special Friend" has had nothing to do with these years of ILLEGAL WARS and OCCUPATIONS . . .

(clipped headline and article from Jerusalem Post)
"Foxman: Don't blame the Jews - 'Israel is a country that has never asked American soldiers, even in its darkest moment, to risk its lives to defend it. From time to time there have been suggestions of security pacts, where the US would have to come to Israel’s aid, and all the leaders of Israel have said that the last thing they would want is for US soldiers to risk their lives to defend Israelis,' he (Foxman) said."

And, of course, all those "EXPERTS" at JINSA were quick to echo this . . . while reiterating the Zionist Axiom that Israel and/or Israelis are ALWAYS the VICTIMS . . . ;-)

(clipped headline and article)
"Arab States Lose Faith in the United States Over Lack of Action on Iran, Administration Blames Israel - . . . This, according to the blog, was the background to Vice President Biden's tongue-lashing of Israel's prime minister and the outrageous slander that Israel is to blame for the difficulties the Obama Administration is having getting our Arab leaders to help us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Damage done.

In our experience, there are three half-truths and an enormous, vicious lie in the post."

Now, if you kidz take a moment to check out the link to the "Board of Advisors" to the left on the "Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs" (JINSA) web site . . .

. . . yet ANOTHER 501(c)(3) non-profit "Zionist 5th Column" . . .

. . . you will quickly understand why we should give so much weight to that last line . . .

"In our experience, there are three half-truths and an enormous, vicious lie in the post."

. . . because when it comes to EXPERIENCE in "half-truths" and "ENORMOUS VICIOUS LIES" . . .

. . . who could possibly have more street cred "EXPERIENCE" than the likes of John R. Bolton, Michael Ledeen, Richard Perle, etc. . . ;-)

Of course, when one looks at the HISTORY, of who was beating the war drums for these ILLEGAL WARS and OCCUPATIONS . .. well, let the 5th Column Record speak for itself . . .

Now, what was it that OTHER Zionist "Expert" always said, kidz?

- Henry Kissinger

No, that OTHER thing he said . . .

But, if the EXPERTS at the ADL, JINSA, SPLC, Simon Wiesenthal Center, and all the ZIO-PRESS Main Stream Corporate Media are all screaming that ISRAEL has nothing to do with the Iraq or Afghanistan WARS . . .

. . . well, why shouldn't we believe them? . . .

After all, how could they possibly benefit from LYING??? . ..

Re. cui bono, not only "who has benefited?", but also "who benefits?", for "has" is regards to the past and the profiteering is far from over. It's not necessary, but I'll quote a dictionary definition of cui bono, anyway.

"cui bo·no (kw bn)
n.
Utility, advantage, or self-interest considered as the determinant of value or motivation."

www.thefreedictionary.com/Cui+bono

But I have to disagree with your post, for you're a fanatic; fanatically blaming only or nearly only Israel and Zionists, nearly all of the time. To do that is to disregard a LOT and I agree that Israel profits from the war, not benefits, but profits; however, a lot of people profit from wars without being among the real and top war-makers. The U.S. is not controlled by either Israel or the Israeli lobby, and the war on Iraq was not for the sake of Israel, which was only guaranteed to be included among the profiteers.

The U.S., the White House, ... seems to have little or no power over the Israeli government when it comes to Palestine, but this doesn't mean that the same thing is true elsewhere; and it's not Israel that makes the U.S. war on the world, worldwide.

What the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as lesser scale and covert wars of the U.S. in African countries, and U.S. hegemony, etcetera, vis-a-vis Latin and Central American countries and governments are about is ENERGY resources and expansion of U.S. empire, domination, for the real ruling elites of the USA, or its government, and which of course includes people of Corporate America.

As much as we'll find Israel profiting, we'll find greater profiting by Wall Street, the BANKSTERS, the MIC, Big Oil, etcetera. The latter are the top rulers of the government of the USA, which they hijacked and extremely corrupted, and they also profit from funding and arming Israel. Some U.S. corporations have also profited from illegally selling arms to countries or governments the U.S. State Dept had declared to be terrorism sponsors or supporters. Other arms manufacturers of the U.S. proliferate arms around the world, illegally and immorally; diabolically.

Many parties profit from wars. Heck, it's even been reported that companies that make even toilet paper, etcetera, profit; McDonald's profits; etcetera. I think it was an article by a contributor to TomDispatch.com who had written about the variety of war profiteers involved. Of course Israel and the other parties referred to in the above paragraph profit in much more diabolical, evil, disgusting, ... and truly criminal ways; but many others also profit from U.S. wars.

My mother was a life-long seamstress and while she didn't make a lot of income, the Vietnam War provided greater income than if she had been on hourly wage. The war provided piece-work contracts and working as she did, she made relatively good income; just that it unfortunately was for making hats and possibly other clothing items for the U.S. military. That's profiting from war, although it was never her intention to be doing this. She was always against war in all other respects, and what she did was not significant contribution to war. After all, officers can be officers without hats. Nevertheless, she and the other workers at the factory where she worked, as well as the employer, all profited from the war, because it brought in a greater number of or larger contracts for the employer, due to the conscription of citizens.

He was a Jewish employer and I was working as an employee at the factory in 1975 when I decided to enlist in the USN. He didn't say anything, but when I told him I was quitting to enlist in the Navy, he silently let it be known what he thought of this decision. He clearly didn't think it was a good idea, and he was wealthy, while I was a street runt earning a meager $3.25 an hour. He and his son, who helped manage the two factories owned by the father, came to me for me to meet with the electrical repair and engineer guy at the factory, yet I didn't have a high school education yet; having taken a different approach to my "schooling" than most people did. A guy like me, no education to speak of and getting poverty wage, and the wealthy Jewish owner didn't think it was a good idea for me to enlist in the military.

I wonder why? Was it out of moral conscience, or because he needed someone who [worked]? Maybe the latter, maybe the former, or maybe a bit of both reasons; for I guess there are no other possible reasons. But he evidently wasn't a pro-war, war-mongering, ... sort of man, whatever his reason was in my case.

It's important to realise that not all Jews are Zionists, or certainly not like those called Zionists today. Some religious Jews believe in the Biblical Zionist belief, that the Holy Land would some day be returned to them, but disagree that this is to be forced to happen; believing that they must wait until God provides the land back to them. It's surely one of the myths in the Old Testament, but some religious Jews truly believe this story, while being against the use of force to get the land back. There are Jews who aren't religious and who are also against use of violence.

The violent Zionist "Jews" of today definitely do not represent all Jews and it's very important to realise this.

It's also important to realise that Israel is not the only party profiting from the war on Iraq, and that it's not for Israel that this war was launched. The U.S. has long history, evil history, in the Middle East, and the U.K. has longer evil history there. What we have is a repetition of history, today. The principal motive is the same; control of the regions rich energy resources.

It's the reason for the war on Afghanistan, but the energy resources aren't the sole motive. There's also expansion of U.S. domination, worldwide. We see this as far away as Indonesia, too.

Writing about only or nearly only Israel, its lobbies, and Zionists when speaking of the U.S. wars is to neglect a lot and it becomes fanatical when it's repeated, over and over ... again. And it leaves the impression that the people wo communicate this way wish to be in denial of their own government's and country's culpability and responsibility. Comprehensive analysis or depictions of reality are much better.
