It didn't sound that way from David Swanson's interview with Tighe Barry of Code Pink and who's in Egypt, but while I haven't yet read or viewed any of the reports at AlJazeera yet, titles seem to indicate that there is some serious violence. The page also has an article for "Thousands protest in Jordan", and there's a live blog for the events in Egypt.

There definitely has been unfortunate violence and this is not about only throwing some rocks.

It's not long, but it's heartening. However, I certainly hope that if the Egyptian people do win their cause for democratic and economic rights, then they won't war on Israel, but will work to help Palestinians in every way possible without war.
