Davis Arrest Throws US Undercover Campaign in Pakistan into Disarray

The ongoing case of Raymond Davis, the CIA contractor facing murder charges in Lahore for the execution-style slaying of two apparent agents of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, is apparently leading to a roll-back of America’s espionage and Special Operations activities in Pakistan.

A few days ago, Pakistan’s Interior Department, which is reportedly conducting a careful review of the hundreds of private contractors who flooded into Pakistan over the last two years, many with “diplomatic passports,” and many others, like Davis, linked to shady “security” firms, arrested an American security contractor named Aaron DeHaven, a Virginia native who claims to work for a company called Catalyst Services LLC.

The Catalyst Services LLC website describes the company, with offices in Afghanistan, Dubai, the US and Pakistan, as having experience in “logistics, operations, security and finance,” and as having a staff led by “individuals who have been involved in some of the most significant events of the last 20 years,” including “the break-up of the Soviet Union, the US effort in Somalia, and the Global War on Terror.”

DeHaven is being held on a 14-day remand, charged with overstaying his visa and with living in an unauthorized area.

Meanwhile, the English-language Express Tribune in Pakistan reports that according to ISI sources, 30 “suspected US operatives” in Pakistan have “suspended” their operations in the country, while 12 have fled the country.

The paper quotes the Pakistan Foreign Office as saying that 851 Americans claiming diplomatic immunity are currently in Pakistan, 297 of whom are “not working in any diplomatic capacity.” The paper says that the country’s Interior Department claims that 414 of the total are “non-diplomats.” The majority of these American operatives, the paper says, are located in Islamabad (where the US is building a huge fortress-like embassy reminiscent of the one in Baghdad), with the others in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. Most are suspected of being involved in covert missions that report to the US Joint Special Operations Command, with many suspected of being active-duty Special Forces personnel from the Army’s Delta Force. (The website of the JSOC says its responsibility is “synchronizing Department of Defense plans against global terrorist networks and, as directed, conducting global operations.”)...

"Pakistan arrests US security contractor as rift with CIA deepens

ISI tells American agency to unmask all its covert operatives after arrest of Aaron DeHaven in Peshawar, over visa expiry"

The article is about Aaron DeHaven, but also and equally, if not more on, Raymond Davis. There's either nothing or else very little that's new about Davis, but it's interesting that DeHaven is part of the overall "picture".

And I think that this may lend some additional credibility to the belief that David Headley was a double agent, working for the CIA, while also working with some "terrorist" group or groups in Pakistan. What's striking about that is that a couple of young Indian guys told of their story with him. He had tried to get them to travel with him to Pakistan into Taliban sort of territory. They both said that he had said that they would be safe as long as they were with him, which inferred that he had some real privileges in this or these parts of Pakistan. Maybe that was not the reality though. Maybe he would've liked them to travel with him in order to get them killed and then Washington could claim that Pakistanis killed visiting Indians; but that is only a possible reason. It may've been much more likely that he was working with some "Taliban" sort of people in Pakistan and that whoever he brought with him would not be harmed. Or maybe he planned on quickly driving with them to such a part of Pakistan, invite them in to some place for coffee, tell them then that he had to go to the toilet, but instead left the place without the two guys knowing about it, calling, perhaps anonymously, some Taliban sort of people to say there were two Indian guys at this restaurant and that they had evil plans, so that they would then be killed. Or maybe he was simply nuts or had some other plan.

It didn't make any sense anyway and the two Indian guys knew very well that they should not accept his offer. They were physically fit, but just a couple of young Indian males who weren't looking for fighting or putting their lives in extreme danger. It doesn't mean they're innocent. They might be among the many Indians who very wrongly discriminate against the Dahlits, f.e. But they were not naive enough to think that their "friend" Headley would be safe to travel with into Pakistan. They clearly knew of the tensions between the two countries and weren't looking forward to joining war, or not in a (say) weird way.

Like with Davis, Headley photographed some key locations in India and, if recalling correctly, also Pakistan. He operated in both countries and used photography, binoculars for other than bird-watching, and so on.

It's not proven, but it was, if not still is, suspected that he was related to the major bombing in Mumbai, India, and Islamabad, Pakistan. If he was, then it's not something that's unlike "black" covert "strategies" or tactics of the US. It would fall within the strategy of "divide and conquer", or "divide and rule" anyway; and that's something the US has regularly done.

When aiming for global dominance with the use of military power, which is in serious part what the US has been using, military power, then other tactics will also be used. The goal is global dominance and multiple tactics or strategies are used for this. The destabilized situation between Pakistan and India is fueled by the US, which works to be in control and then use each of the two countries however Washington and its ruling elites believe to be "beneficial" for them(selves).

Operation Gladio is not a perfect historical analogy, but I think that it's a considerably fitting one.

The US doesn't have the power to be able to conquer this world, but sure as hell has a "knack" for creating destabilization that the US can then bear a very strong influence on relations between countries victim of Western imperialism.

Gandhi helped to lead India to indepedence, but it evidently was very temmporary. Washington and its ruling elites haven't given up.

"Humanitarian War vs. Humanity"
by David Swanson, Feb. 23, 2011

Global dominance is the goal, and I do mean global. It should also be quite obvious to anyone who's reasonably informed. Anyone who doesn't understand just needs to start doing serious reading. It's not difficult to realize that global dominance is the goal.

The ruling elites figure that the Earth is small, only around 12,000 to 13,000 miles in diameter, so they "should" be able to dominate Earth and they aim to try to do so; unrealistically, "out of touch with reality", but trying anyway. Like David Swanson says in his article, "Humanitarian War vs. Humanity", peoples always resist and, I'll add, this resistance is not going to subside. It might at times, for periods, seem to subside, quiet down, but for a while. It will not die out.

Mohawk American and Canadian Indians, f.e. We never hear or read about them, but that's because we don't pay attention to them and news media doesn't report about them. They have not become silent. They have some real and very serious activists. Our ignorance is the reason for them seeming to be silent and "bought". The real activists among them continue to speak out and have gone through colonialist, imperialist police state punishments, but we don't know about this, because Americans and Canadians either mostly follow "msm" news media, or read from also alternative media, but the latter also is not focused on situations that are not in foreign countries or that don't affect whites here. And alternative media in the US will pay attention, some, to racism, but not about the original and still-existing people of this continent, the Indians. The alternative media write about some racial wrongs against Black and Latino Americans, f.e., but rarely mention American Indians.

The Canadian government has committed blatant and violent crimes against Canadian Indians and we could learn of this through news media film footage, but there was no outcry about this. The vicious Department of of Fisheries and Oceans was sent out to stop Canadian Indians from modestly fishing in [their] territorial waters with small boats, light-weight fishing equipment. DFO had power boats and deliberately and violently rammed into, ran over the very modest fishing boats of these Indians. It was all reported in TV news footage, and the public was silent. Most of the crimes against American and Canadian Indians are hidden, covered up, unreported or, rather, extremely underreported, but there are ways of leaning about them when they're not broadcast on or in "msm" footage or reports, which most of the crimes against them aren't. And when those crimes, the hidden ones, are reported, then they're usually masked with bs colonialist and imperialist claims; like, "The Indians were/are are wrong and we're right. They should be thankful for what we allow them to still have". See David Swanson's article. What he says also applies in this case.

The US also continues its genocide of American Indians, but there's extremely reportage of this and the general population accepts to ignore this, or certainly seems to anyway.

We reap what we sow and sowing anything good is hardly our way of living.

The ruling elites seek global dominance in every way remotely possible, and these elites are an oligarchy.

We live under the reins of Corporate America. Big Business rules through its politicians.

My hope is that Davis' arrest will blow the lid off the CIA-led insurgency in Balochistan in Pakistan tribal areas, including the training camps and the $200 a month they pay leaders of the Balochistan Liberation Army. I found the announcement Pakistan prime minister made in the assembly on Mar 1st extremely interesting - the first time the government has been quite this open in blaming "hostile foreign elements" for funding the Baloch insurgency. Many Pakistani analysts are taking it as a warning that the Pakistani government is prepared to confront the Obama administration directly if the CIA-led insurgency activities don't stop. See http://tribune.com.pk/story/125602/baloch-insurgency-funded-from-abroad-pm/

The Pentagon makes no secret of their desire to see energy and mineral rich Balochistan secede from Pakistan to become a US client state - just like energy and mineral rich Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the other former Soviet republics. Especially with massive Chinese investment in the area (for example, the Chinese-built Gwadar Port created as a transit route for Iranian oil and natural gas destined for China). So, once again US taxpayers are funding both sides of the so-called War on Terror.

I blog about this at http://stuartbramhall.aegauthorblogs.com/2010/12/30/the-us-as-a-semi-fai...
