Japan Calling For Iraq War Inquiry
Japan parliament calls for Iraq war inquiry
Feb 4, 2011 - The war on Iraq is still raging in this building, but in a far different manner than it did in Iraqi towns and cities. Some one hundred members of parliament are demanding that the government investigate Japan's support of the war.
They are not happy about the lukewarm reaction to their request and they feel the Japanese people deserve more.

But I'm afraid that this is not going to amount to much. There was a Japanese political representative, MP or what the title was, who started a Japanese international tribual on the war waged on Iraq, but this seems to have not yet amounted to any serious consequences. Maybe Japan, the government will come around to making or passing the right judgment, but I doubt that it'd have any serious weight. The Japanese government supports US basing in Japan when this is unconstitutional according to US law and probably is according to international law.
Japan is not a country to freely and democratically make its own decisions.
