What Rep. Shimkus says makes him quite a clown. It's truly laughable material, causing me to laugh anyway. But that's only until the mind switches to the other part of the picture, which is that he's supposedly elected to represent voters. Then the comedy becomes immediately and very dark. It's material for a very tragic comedy that can cause us to laugh as well as cry.

It's worth noting for historical records that can later be used to create a show, like a video or film documentary, f.e., for illustrating how sick the politics are in the country. It shows how dumb and incompetent unelectable/unvettable elected representatives are, which, in turn, illustrates the fact that [many] voters are not qualified to be able to vote in political elections. Being of voting age does not make a person truly qualified to vote. It's a requirement for being legally permitted to vote, but far more than this is required to be truly qualified.

It can be more difficult to qualify for short order cook or industrial cleaning jobs, f.e.! I did both of those during my teens and they were very easy jobs.
