Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright should be a happy camper: Another campaign of sanctions and embargoes by the US is about to start killing children, this time in Iran.
Albright, as President Bill Clinton’s Secretary of State, when interviewed on CBS’s news magazine program “60 Minutes” back in 2000, was asked by reporter Lesley Stahl about reports that US sanctions on Iraq had led to the deaths of some 500,000 Iraqi children because of shortages of medicine and things like chlorine for treating water supplies. Stahl asked Albright if such a dreadful toll was “worth it.” Albright famously responded, “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.”
Albright must be happy then that apparently the same kind of heartless logic is at work once more, this time orchestrated by the Obama administration and the current Secretary of State, It Takes a Village author and self-styled child advocate Hillary Clinton.
According to a letter sent to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon by the head of Iran’s Charity Foundation for Special Diseases, the current US-led sanctions campaign against Iranian financial institutions and efforts to prevent western banks from doing business with Iran have made it next to impossible for Iranian doctors and hospitals to obtain medicines from abroad for such relatively rare but serious diseases as hemophilia, Multiple sclerosis (MS), various cancers, kidney failure and thalassemia.
The tightening of international screws on Iranian financial transactions has also made it hard for domestic makers of some of these medicines in Iran to obtain the raw materials needed to manufacture needed medicines locally, according to the letter.
Fatemeh Hashemi Rafsanjani, the author of the letter, called on the secretary general to act to prevent the sanctions campaign from harming an estimated 6 million Iranians who suffer from these diseases. She said that the sanctions had already “directly affected the lives and well-being of thousands of patients.”...

It is time to turn the tables on all totalitarian class systems, from Patriarchy to Late, Fascist Capitalism, who use both Fascist austerity, enslavement, through parasitical global control over the means of production, by Western class thugs. They can even enslave, whole nations, destroy their social control through crippled class hierarchies, failed class states targeted by the dominant, Western, Fascist, ideological class politicians and their Nato fascist alliance. The whole of class history uses this same parasitical, class control to carry out enslavement through property, class laws against its own social classes, that further extended produces many other enslaving class- forms, be it colonialism, post colonialism, apartheid, and Fascism itself.
The central function of all deformed class states, class systems, is their parasitical control over wealth, and labor, control over the means of production, which began the enslavement of women, then all of humanity itself, through today. All attempts to falsely compare subordinated, enslaved, boycotted nations from hierarchies of Western class states, class hierarchies, class elites and their class policies, stranguling,blackmailing, co opting, corrupting social, independent power, for the Orwellian, class principle. It assumes that ALL class states, failed nation-states, never achieve social control over civil society, as the post colonial states, even the deformed Stalinist, workers states. None of them ever had social control, or were independent, from the very same GLOBAL, CLASS MATRIX, enslaving other lessor class states. Western, global, Fascist Matrix enslaves its own workers enslaved through class hierarchies, class elites linked to parasitic ruling classes, that are enslaved by the same global Class/Fascist Matrix as Iraq, Iran, many other post colonial regimes, under the jack boot of Western Fascists. Thus comparing Stalinism, deformed workers states, comparing deformed, post colonial states, deformed, subordinated, failed class states to the their top Enlsavers, Western global Nazis, leaves out the central fact that all nations, all social classes are victims of the same PARASITIC CLASS SYSTEM, without social control to end their tyranny, where their social revolutions were co opted by new forms of class slavery, namely Capitalism.
NDAA on trial: White House refuses to abide with ban against indefinite detention of Americans

"Not only is the White House fighting in court for the power to jail Americans indefinitely without trial, but the Obama administration is refusing to tell a federal judge if they've abided by an injunction that prohibits them from such.
Attorneys for the White House have been in-and-out of court in Manhattan this week to argue that the indefinite detention provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, or NDAA, are necessary for the safety and security of the nation. When President Barack Obama signed the bill on December 31, he granted the government the power to put any American away in jail over even suspected terrorist ties, but federal court Judge Katherine Forrest ruled in May that this particular part of the NDAA, Section 1021, failed to “pass constitutional muster” and ordered a temporary injunction.
On Monday, White House attorneys asked for an appeal for that injunction so that they’d be once more legally permitted to indefinitely detain anyone over mere accusations. When specifically asked to answer whether or not they’ve adhered by Judge Forrest’s injunction so far, though, administration attorneys refused to cooperate with the questioning.
Activist and reporter Tangerine Bolen is a plaintiff in the case against the NDAA, and in an op-ed published Thursday in the Daily Cloudt, she writes that the federal attorneys asking for an appeal have declined to reveal whether or not they’ve cooperated with the judge’s May 2012 injunction. If the government has arrested anyone over alleged “belligerent ties” since Judge Forrest ordered a temporary stay, the government could be in contempt of court..."(which includes, Obama, bi partisan fascist Congress, and Western totalitarian class states who followed the fascist foreign policies of Nato/U.S. and Israeli Fascist Zionism.

The ancient Greeks clearly understood that their class deformed civil societies, despite partial experiments in demoracy, in social reform, not only did not reclaim the social agency of the Social Matriarchy, but that the Patriarchal class mechanism was stil in place, to deform social reforms, dismantle them, and revers partial evolutionary social steps, back into the class degenerating clas cycles, where class republics, class democracies, would join the family of class forms, class terminologies, with others already identified, namely: oligarchy, plutocracy, (class) tyrants, and (class) Empires with their endless, permanent militarism. Plato's attempt to graft partial experiments in democracy, social reforms into the existing Patriarchal class mechanism, became just another failed class state, like others, two serious lessons, failures, in policy, in strategies, internalized by the Social Enlghtenment, 2000 plus years later, not to promote class myths, "noble lies", class idelogies, and not to depend on class rulers, class systems, to expect them, appeal to them to promote social justice, social control. The fact that Obama was not the first president to do it does not take away from how wrong it is.
I think we need to get this dirty, frankly, horrible aspect of Executive power on the table. We need to go back in history and draw a line and start asking which presidents exercised this power and who they killed. I have zero doubt that Obama did it first. He did it because he wanted to look tough and maybe because he got caught. But it casts a light into a dark, stygian corner of our decaying republic, that some are under the illusion is a democracy. That dark corner needs a lot more light.
There's a chance that a pair of psychopathic narcissistic corporatists will be in the White House and then, who knows what ways they will define threats to national security and enemies of the state.
The other day, an Occupy protester, demonstrating in front of a bank, was charged with Terroristic Felony. Who knows what will qualify as a presidentially decreed "termination" if these corporatists gain access to the White House?
We are moving at an accelerating pace deeper and deeper into a police state. We don't even know how bad it is. Movies like Bourne Legacy are not wild fantasies. They are probably reasonable speculations of the kinds of things that NSA, CIA, Homeland Security, FBI and all the fusion centers and even local law enforcement orgs, engorged with Homeland Security funding, are already doing.
My nightmare, that people are pushed to change records and then killed is minor league compared to reality. I have no doubts about that. As a website owner, I approach problems with the website with a philosophy that drives my webmaster crazy. I believe that for every bug or problem on the site that a user reports, there are 10 or 100 users who have faced the bug without reporting it. I take every bug very seriously.
When it comes to presidential assassinations, I think it's reasonable to make a similar assumption. For every one we know about there are ten or 100 that we are never told about, maybe a thousand.
Rachel Maddow has written, in her brilliant book, Drift, about how the military industrial, security complex is out of control. We must take heroic actions to get it, including its commander in chief, back under the control of we-the-people. Power, once attained, fights fiercely to hold on to that power, even power attained through the pseudo-meritocracy, as Chris Hayes brilliantly writes about in his book, Twilight of the Elites.
We will not be able to ask nicely for our power back, or for the military or the intelligence agencies or the Executive branch's power to be given up. We will have to take strong, powerful actions. We will have to use all the resources that we the people have to take away the powers that have been accumulated so pathologically. And we do have powers. We still have the internet, thought they're trying hard to take it away from us. We still have the first amendment-- freedom of speech, press and assembly. But, with electronic surveillance, we've lost the heart of the 4th amendment-- freedom from unreasonable search.
It could be that the US is too far down the police state road to turn back, as it may be with global warming. But the first step to fixing and then changing something for the better is to be aware of, to diagnose the full extent and the etiology of the problem. Realizing that killing Americans and foreigners has been US policy and presidential policy for years, probably scores of years, is a beginning. Maybe I'm naive and it's just me that figured this out. Or maybe this has been taken for granted. It's time for that to change. It's time to start systematically taking away powers that Presidents and security agencies have grabbed....."
