confirmed that President Bush is scheduled to be in Columbus, Ohio next Thursday, June 9 to talk to OSP (Ohio State Highway Patrol?). The Columbus Dispatch confirmed the same information plus added that Bush is speaking to the Highway Patrol Academy about the Patriot Act. Their Washington bureau is tracking down more information and they plan to run a notice tomorrow (Sat., June. 4) in the Dispatch.

ROVE in California, 11am: President Bush's senior adviser and deputy chief of staff will present a lecture during an upcoming visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. The event with Karl Rove -- who oversees the development of policy, strategic planning, political affairs, public liaison and intergovernmental affairs for the White House -- is set for 11 a.m. June 11. BUSH in Washington DC: President Bush will welcome Prime Minister Phan Van Khai of Vietnam to the White House on June 21. The visit marks the tenth anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties in 1995 between the United States and Vietnam. Prime Minister Khai will be the most senior Vietnamese official to visit Washington since that time. The two leaders will discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation on a range of bilateral, regional and international issues.
