This invasion is illegal, immoral, and and vindictive. It is one thing to launch an offensive to defend ones homeland, but it seems the lsraeli government will use any excuse to invade their neighbors. They claim that Hamas are hiding among the civilian population and rooting them out will be difficult, but still they bomb areas knowing full well that noncombatants are nearby. This not only violates the rules of war,but human rights as well!Even today an airstrike have destroyed a school. How can we condone outright slaughter of a nation of people that has no standing military to defend itself? Our own allies find this deplorable, why are we allowing this genocide to go on? When they invaded Lebanon it was nothing more than a bloody stalemate, they knew it we knew it ,and the world knew it.So now they are going to try again to rectify this mistake at the cost of more lives.I am not a dove by any means,I have served my country. However,we MUST tell Israel to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and find a more peaceful solution to this conflict through the U.N. whether by an international force or more talks that will not break down and result in the needless loss of more lives.
