The news, quite frankly, was no surprise to myself in that the bush administration had been tracking the terrorists for years, yet...and the fact that our air force was not airborne immediately as protocol dictates, only flights with saudis. These are questions that need to be addressed...our press is truly not free from the influence of big business and government. So no, the downing street memo is not a surprise, only disconcerting in the fact that clinton was almost impeached on laughable charges when compared with the mortgaging of america's future by the war mongers currently at the helm.

I returned a phone call of my pal up in Oregon (my being in LosAngeles): My politically-minded ex-Brother-in-Law in Oregon was at first at a loss as to what the DowningStreetMemo was/is. When I briefly described it to him, he said, "Oh yes...something about that , let's see, a little article a few pages in, in the Portland Oregonian. Now what was that about, again?"
I told him the gist w/some details. His rx: "Migod, that's TREASON!"
We discussed treason and Bush the rest of the conversation. He was very excited to hear the news. He's followed most all else about BushJr. prior... Now it's no longer "prior"; it's "after" DowningStreet, righto!
He'll check out things at his office Internet..and spread the goodword.
My brother in law is a Republican! He does not agree at all with me. What worries me is the rest of Americans!
