Print the template out. Shrink or enlarge as needed for your pumpkin. Glue the template to the pumpkin with white glue. Start carving. Use a mixed bag of knifes, spoons and utensils of any sort to scrape off just enough skin to really highlight a feature or mute a feature. If you want, you can go industrial... use a drill and take advantage of all those wonderful boring, rasping, etc. attachments.
