It's about time OUR Troops get reminded by WE THE PEOPLE where their true allegiance lies - with the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. True, their oaths of enlistment or office does enjoin them to obey all lawful orders from those appointed over them. But, that's the key: all lawful orders. And never, never do their oaths commit them to blind obedience. If OUR troops should fulfill their oaths, they need to OBEY all LAWFUL orders and DISOBEY ALL ILLEGAL ORDERS no matter their point of origin. They are under no obligation whatsoever to obey anyone, even the Commander in Chief, if he is ordering them to do something contrary to the Law of the Land, THE CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES.
OUR troops don't belong to George Bush and Dick Cheney. But, OUR troops need to start thinking about what they will do if Bush uses mercenary troops against their fellow citizens.

I just voted and am very concerned about an inconsistency I found. Please note the ORDER of the Candidates on the Dem Ballot....

Notice how Kucinich is the only one out of alphebetical order.WHY????
Don't scantrons prefer logical orders- like alphabetical?
Will the scantrons read 'Clinton' instead of Kucinich in the first spot?
Dennis should demand a hand recount immediately- this hit me like a ton of bricks. Apparently the Rep ballot seems to be in alphabetical order (according to one of the workers). I pointed it out to the 'Election official' and have been E-mailing the Gov& Sec State for THEM to demand a hand recount today!!!
If you find this 'funny' too please do the same. We will not fall for another butterfly ballot "error".
Also must add WHERE I voted- A CHURCH - separation of Church & state? Private church property where you can not campaign. This church is also conveniently in the middle of two home properties. We have plenty of schools we could be using.

I must take this posting "as if true", . . .since I can't seem to find a sample ballot (yet), . .. that the names on the ballots are listed as:
Kucinich
Clinton
Dodd
Gravel
uncommitted
Now, on the ONE Hand . . . this ol' fool has seen bitchin' and moanin' about the "fairness" of alphabetical order from every type of election from High School Student Council . . .to Boy Scout Order Of The Arrow Officers . . .to my wife's "Soil And Water Supervisor" campaign . . .to my own election for NC House . . .;-)
Some Board of Election (BOE) folks decide to "randomly" assign candidates on the ballot . . . others go for the alphabetical order . . ."you pays your entry fee to takes your chances" . . no harm, no foul . . .;-)
Now, on the OTHER Hand . . . back during the late 1940s thru the 1960s . . . this country spent a FORTUNE on the study of human primate psychology . . . under the guise of "Public Good" and under the umbrella of the "National Institute for Mental Health" (NIMH) . . .
One of the big areas was "choice making" and "statistical prediction" . . . .
Now, any amateur magician knows how to "push" or "force" a card on someone for a "card trick" . . . the illusion is that the "choice" is "random", when in fact it is quite calculated . .. thus the "trick" . . .;-)
Given a list of say "5 unknowns" . . . it was discovered that there were certain patterns that always yielded "higher" results than just straight statistics could account for . . . there were "favored" positions . .. "favored" letters . . . "favored" fonts . . "favored" colors . . .etc. . .
Well, the CIA took all this "science" and began experimenting with it around the world to "force" elections . . .lots of really good books have been written by ex-CIA operatives and agents detailing what was done where . .. and what the results were . . .as well as books written by the folks that got "sucker-punched" by these tactics. .. ;-)
Crossing the Rubicon . . . it is indeed sad for these ol' fool eyes to see these SAME tactics being used to "force" elections here at home . . . BUT, thanks to all you rowdy kidz and the Internet. . .the tricks aren't working because they are being exposed . . .
Despite what the Cynics tell you, this country has some of the most informed voters in the world history of elections . . . they are seeing the BULLSHIT . . . and they are DEFINITELY doing something about it . . .;-)
