Let Us Unite!

LET US UNITE!

It is my wish that we as a people stop bickering about the little things in life that may or may not divide us and start focusing on more important issues like job creation, eating healthy and reducing our consumption of meat, global warming, creating alternative sources of energy, and healthcare for all, ending poverty and so on. We all want to live and have a decent standard of living. We all want our children and their children to be as successful as we are and more. Let us accept the fact that we are all different, with different shades of color, different cultures, traditions, ideas, and opinions, likes and dislikes. Now besides that, we have so much more in common and so much more to learn from one another. As you’ve probably heard before, our diversity is our strength, a blessing not a curse like some may want us to think. At this critical juncture in our life, we can no longer afford to allow the politics of division to prevent us from realizing that our greatest strength is a unified voice. Let’s no longer be programmed and distracted by the media, those in power and those with money who want us to continue to be distracted and quarrel over insignificant and petty issues while they continue to line their pockets with money. For the rich and powerful are the beneficiaries of our constant infighting and division, not us! We must break this cycle of “The rich getting richer and poor getting poorer” while those who are without continue to scrape and grab for the crumbs just to make it by in life. And the only way to do this is for us to speak with one voice, come together as the human beings we are and not remain separated by the color of our skin or our gender. That is their greatest fear! A united voice speaking out for real justice and not what we have been programmed to think is justice. Enough with the divisive tactics that keep us fighting amongst ourselves! Enough is enough! Each of us can have what we truly want out of life, for there is an abundance in life, if we believe. So I would like to challenge each of you to make an attempt of putting our petty issues to the side and start focusing on what we have in common and begin the journey of speaking with one voice that will bring about positive change in the world we live.
