What's happening to me is weird... now I only get CAPTCHA at sign-in , and then when I do comments I get told I am queued for approval.

This is a good sign as it means that the system is recognizing you.

That is correct for right now - all comments are going into que. But hopefully soon we'll figure out whether it's possible to eliminate que for regular posters, and if so, how to do it.
I know that easy posting is very important for all the ADS members, and that it is satisfying to see your post go up right away. I hope you will all bear with us as we go through this transitional period. Thanks! :)

I sent about the same text to ADS via contact and got an email reply: Have you tried a news reader? I have not yet, but may look into that.
You're on the right track to do what you want to do. ADS already syndicates our articles.
There are numerous news readers. Some are associated with services, like Google and Yahoo. Others are standalones, like this freeware news reader named RssReader. Here's a list.
They all do the same thing, though the output - what you see - varies by reader.
Once you've selected and installed a news reader, go to our front page, and scroll down, looking on the left side of the page for the "Syndicate" button.
Right click the little orange button, and copy the link.
Then, go to your news reader program, and paste that link into your news reader.
You can customize how your news reader operates by using its settings.

I know it's much more satisfying to have a comment published instantly, but for now, everything goes in que, so it's nothing personal to anyone.

Other than that little issue, the only time I've gotten a CAPTCHA is after I sign in, and post an initial comment.

I got that message several times, also, and thought maybe the software was installing special cookies for those who post, or some such stuff.
I just read a paid for column that said Cheney and W. House may have been getting live streaming video of torture at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. Kind of like a real time porno-snuff film! Yuch!

In the lower left hand corner under Search and Stats, tons of traffic:
Ithe past didn't the site name of ADS get automatically loaded into Alexa? Now it asks for a web site name. A small thing but a difference.
