Horror at Fort Hood Inspires Horribly Predictable Islamophobia

Thursday's shootings at the Fort Hood army base in Texas -- which left at least 12 people dead and more than 30 others wounded -- were of course the "horrific outburst of violence" that President Obama bemoaned and condemned.
But, because a soldier identified as the gunman had a name that led to the presumption that he was Muslim, the incident inspired an all-too-predictable explosion of Islamophobia.
News reports named the man who used two handguns in the assault on his fellow soldiers at a base that is a prime point of departure for troops headed to Iraq and Afghanistan as Major Malik Nidal Hasan. The major, who was wounded during the incident, was identified as a psychiatrist who had served in the Department of Psychology at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress at the Bethesda Naval Facility in Bethesda, Maryland, before his transfer to Fort Hood.
Hours after the incident, and hours after news anchors and politicians cited his religion as an explanation for the shootings, a family member told reporters Major Hasan was indeed a Muslim. Read more.

As I posted yesterday re; the so called idiot word 'Islamophobia'[hey, I s'pose it's a heck of a lot better than 'Jihadist', and the 20 bazillion other nonexistent/misused/non-defined words we have thrown at us, right? Please just read the verses in the Qur'an[not the Hadith version]that are all surrounding 'Jihad' as Mohammed explains to his followers what Jihad is. What it isn't is a Homicide Bomber.
Of course as when I learned Dr. Hasan had risen from the dead yesterday, I was waiting for the next bit of news that wasn't, would become the news it really was anyway. As reported earlier today, "The Ft. Hood shooting Spree WAS NOT AN ACT OF TERRORISM", all of these bushite happenings are unnerving me albeit we should be quite used to this after a decade. It's as if cheney,georgie,condie,bolton,yoo,rummy,and hail hail the gangs all here, and I'm quite tired as hell of this Constitutional decimation and although I'm seeking a zip code outside the US still, I want these F$$KERS to knock it off, simply stop it, man. I travel all over and it sucks everywhere but I need somewhere away from this Nation I'm shamed by as hard and long as we've all tried it isn't going to stop, is it? Since Vietnam, I'm tired, aren't all of you. No Younger generation to help out these days because they're dealing with an Illegal Invasion, a Sectarian Conflict with mucho Poppy thrown in, possibly they'll have their Iran, Pakistan and North Korea thrown in, no money for an education, get an education but no jobs, so what, how can we stop the shit, huh?
Now Dr. Hasan is a Zombie but he isn't a terrorist, yet last night when that 220 - 215 Vote Count came down the House acted as if they'd been anointed in fine oils for GD doing their job, sort of, actually Dennis did his job, now we'll have the Manic Michele medicare Mob stirring up Dr. Hasan as a case in point of how we'll never be safe from those darn moslims[sic]and you know they're not going to be truly safe until the Nazi or the Socialist, whatever they've decided to brand President Obama this week, and I truly guarantee you, having grown up and witnessed each assassination,JFK, MLK,Bobby, Malcolm X, no prerecorded stuff then, someone will be harmed and they all will be more complicit as if that is at all possible, and their boney white fingers will be pointed at our heads, I'll take bets on this one.
