Help Us Address The Growing Tide Of Threats And Violence By Partisans
Join Our StopDomesticTerror.com Campaign!!
Last summer, in response to a rising tide of extremism coupled with threats and violence, we launched a new campaign called Stop Domestic Terror, www.stopdomesticterror.com. In short, we asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to aggressively target those who commit violence, and we urged both the media and religious leaders to speak out against such anti-democratic behavior. Our campaign has met with success in many ways, but as we all have seen over the past few weeks, there is still much more to be done.
First the good news. The DOJ has announced that hate crimes and threats of violence are now a “top priority,” after years of neglect. On Saturday, the DOJ arrested at nine members of an “end of times” militia group that was planning violence against Americans in order to kick off a widespread uprising against the government. Last week, 114 prominent religious leaders signed a “civility covenant” calling for an end to the heated rhetoric of political discourse. And finally, national media are beginning to report on this problem in a serious manner rather than as something silly.
Now the bad news. The tea bagger movement has endorsed threats, hate and anger as a political weapon, and the GOP has hitched its political fortunes to this hate machine, adopting Nixon’s Southern Strategy, which exploited opposition among the once segregationist South to the cultural upheaval of New Left, Vietnam protests, the Hippie culture, Gun control, Abortion, desegregation, and the Civil Rights Movement. Over the past month, we have seen white Americans spitting on Black Congress members, calling them foul names, and committing violent acts and making threats against other politicians. The GOP, in response to a call by the DNC for a new civility agreement, said no! Sarah Palin put Democrats in crosshairs on her website and told her followers to “reload.” Right-wing media are supporting this behavior as “patriotic.”
Help us by joining with thousands of others who have spoken out against the tyranny of violence. Add your name to our Stop Domestic Terror campaign. Send a letter to Congress demanding that the media act in the public interest rather than fanning the flames of violence.

...who puts partisan politics above moral integrity, original thought, or common sense-over-programming is speaking from the depths of total IGNORANCE!
Quote: "... who puts partisan politics above moral integrity, original thought, or common sense ..."?
Surely no one who knows what those qualities mean.

You won't want to miss the following video if you haven't seen other good, qualitative footage of these people dressed up like in military uniforms, armed, etcetera, out practicing militia or attack drills.

I'll quote the text that's with the video.
SCARY!
ANOTHER COMMENT ON THE ARTICLE:

I'm really stunned that people are so ignorant that they spit on others, especially when it's more racist lunacy and idiocy that causes such people to do things like this. These accusers are evidently unable to see or recognize the truth, and who's really to be accused.
These two stories remind me of the subject of the religious news reports about the Jesus Camp in Idaho. I came across some of these reports at religiousnewsblog.com a few or more years ago, when this camp had many children there for real and tragically sick indoctrination, including pro-war kind. CORRECTION: I just double-checked to see that I had the right domain name and while the one already specified still takes people to the website I am referring to, the right name is www.religionnewsblog.com. I think it was the first one I specified when I read there and that it's just changed a little; and this'd make sense, since using the first one I specified loads the right website.
It's a non-biased, ... news website on contemporary religious reality(ies) and maybe also some historical topics. There's an associated cult research and reporting website, as well as possibly some others; or if they're no longer separated websites, then there are nevertheless sections for Cult FAQ, Cult Experts, and an Apologetics index, f.e. It's based or used to be based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and struck me, through plenty of articles I read there, to provide truthful reporting on society, including internationally. And they don't provide the or most of the news articles, which are from external sources; including internationally.
Using the Google Videos search engine, people will find videos about the Jesus Camp, including for the documentary, Bill Maher on this camp, and more. I haven't viewed any yet; did have the intention of doing so a few or more years ago when first learning about this lunacy camp that is clearly harmful for especially children to be put through. It's very scary reality, imo.
The above website on religion and cults has plenty of articles about the camp and I'll provide a link for one that I didn't read, but which seems immediately fitting for this post.
"At 'Jesus Camp,' fired-up kids in combat gear prep for holy war",

Or maybe I did read that article, seeing that it's dated 2006; but I read enough to know what the Jesus Camp is about and to know that this sort of lunacy and psychological abuse against children, or even adults who are too naive to be able to protect themselves against psychologically unfit people pretending to be the contrary, well, I know this sort of reality should NOT be permitted under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. It's extremely abusive, psychologically, morally, ..., and it can't be sanely argued that people can knowingly be allowed to do commit such abusiveness.
