March 18, 1970: American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO
My father was a hard working postal worker, then called a postal clerk who sorted the mail. Up till this strike he was making less take home than I started making working construction till I went into the service. He did have some benefits and a pension plan, I didn't. After the strike they started making a more comfortable wage as well as the postal service started automating, as they advanced they gave schooling in the newer technologies. He retired some years later and they lived comfortably on a decent pension for his hard work of many years, a pension he contributed to. Also around this time companies, turning into corporations, were axing older workers as they were approaching retirement age, this continued as the safety nets for dedicated hard working folks were marginalized. leaving them out of any and all pensions they had already contributed into and living off lower waged jobs then Social Security.
Protest War Criminal Stephan Hadley's, National Security Advisor to Bush, Keynote speech on 3/19 in San Francisco
War Criminal Watch is calling for San Francisco fans to protest War Criminal Stephan Hadley's keynote speach at SF St. Regis Hotel on 3/19/2011 from 3:30 - 5 pm.
"This (Gadhafi) is a bad guy"... Where have we heard that before?
As we mark the 8th anniversary of "Shock and Awe" let's remember the LIES that the Iraq War was launched on and STOP a war on Libya before it starts.
PROTEST STEPHEN HADLEY, National Security Advisor to Bush, as he gives his keynote speech to the World Affairs Council conference at the St. Regis Hotel.
Hadley was key to creating the lies about yellowcake uranium which set up the Bush Regime's pretext for going to war against Iraq. Hadley has not yet experienced as much "war criminal fame" as Yoo, Rice, Rumsfeld, et al, but he has been busy stirring up support for military action on Libya in order to take advantage of imperialist openings presented by the current turmoil. (Title of his speech: "Seeing Opportunities in Times of Crisis:!)

Live-WI Rallies
This is a live feed coming out of Madison:
Right now they are bouncing back and forth from the speaker at the station to show recordings from yesterday as well as some live feeds via cell phones as the rally goes on today.
Reason I'm posting this up, besides the obvious of some wanting to watch, is they announced that the 14 State Senators will be speaking at around twelve noon CST and they are hoping to bring live coverage of those speeches.
This feed comes from The UpTake.
This is in an e-mail from GRITtv:
Wisconsin - Farmers Tractorcade
HEARD ON THE STREET: "If you live in Wisconsin, don't forget to turn your clock back 50 years this weekend."
That link is running live coverage supposedly but doesn't look like a stream.
There's suppose to be live streaming coverage here and at Free Speech TV
According to GRITtv's Laura Flanders who's in Madison Wis.
'gotta be the so called conservative mentality'
Now why would someone, or a group, target a site such as this? It would be really interesting to find the sources and ask them. Are they funded by the wealth already going after women's rights or just pranksters with a sick agenda? Something tells me there's more to this than that.

A Marxist Analysis: Arab Uproar
By Ron Ridenour
Long time in the making! Long time suffering poverty, inequality, official murder-torture-imprisonment, despotism, fundamentalism, and governments lackeyed to US/Western powers.
I am no expert on Arabic/Middle East history or politics, other than knowing that US/Israel-led imperialism has had a grip on the entire area for decades, and before that there were other foreign oppressors. I know that in part of the Arab world—so far not involved in this uproar—the US-led “humanitarian” operation has cost over one million Iraqi lives, created millions of refugees, tortured tens of thousands and destroyed incalculable cultural wealth and history. European allies assisted in this butchery. Something similar is occurring in Afghanistan, and extending into Pakistan.
Tony Blair at the Iraq inquiry:
Day of regret, Day of reckoning
The Chilcot Inquiry will help write history's verdict on Tony Blair - and he may not like it
Return to the fray: Tony Blair giving evidence Photo: REUTERS
23rd January 2011 - His government did not, in Alastair Campbell’s words, “do God”. But on Friday the gods, yet again, seemed to do Tony Blair a favour.
The QE2 Conference Centre, venue of the Chilcot Inquiry, was patrolled on three sides by hungry TV crews. The police presence was high. Under no illusions about his public, Mr Blair arrived at dawn, nearly two hours before he was due to testify.
Iraq War Inquiry: Blair Returns

Demonstrators protest against the former prime minster at his second appearance before the Iraq inquiry
21 January 2011 - A month before the Iraq war began a million people marched through London. This morning, almost eight years later, barely 100 activists mustered outside the conference centre opposite Westminster Abbey as Tony Blair returned to the Chilcot inquiry for perhaps his last official involvement in the conflict's aftermath.

Dec 26th 1971-Statue of Liberty, Liberation
Back on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 I posted this VVAW Anniversary-Dec 26th 1971-Statue of Liberty, Liberation on my first blog, still in my infancy of blog posting but I had gotten better, like embedding links etc.. This action took place only months after I returned from Vietnam, my last year of my four, and getting discharged back into civilian life. I wasn't with these brothers but I had already started down the path of activism against Wars of Choice and those that create them for profit and power. That post is below slightly refined and updated, had to find a link and embedded a document pdf player.

"Today I am giving formal notice to Russia that the United States of America is withdrawing from this almost 30-year-old treaty," Bush said in the White House Rose Garden. "I have concluded the ABM treaty hinders our government's ability to develop ways to protect our people from future terrorist or rogue state missile attacks." {continued}

Tale Of A Pissed-Off Peace Activist
By Dede Miller
On Monday, November 29th, I attended an event at Saddleback Church, or, as I now call it, Sodom and Gomorrah, in Lake Forest California. George Bush was the guest Philistine. Sodom and Gomorrah is located deep in the heart of VERY conservative Orange county California. I, and my fellow defenders of good and justice, were literally in the belly of the beast..
Wikileaks: The Faucet Has Opened!
I'll say this again: Sadly it looks like these don't go back far enough, I for one want to know how much it cost this country for the so called 'coalition of the willing' for the invasion of Iraq, and there's still plenty that needs to be added to what has already come out as to the previous admin!!
