March of the People - Mile 10
L-R: Bruce Berry, Mikael Rudolph, Mario and Ovideo Penalver and Russ Christensen
Thank you, Mr. PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE Richard B. Cheney
I almost want to celebrate.
President of the Senate Cheney, I think you just dug a hole. You probably expected to strike oil, but you may have just dug yourself to hell.
Members of the Senate can be removed by a two-thirds majority vote in the U.S. Senate. Our U.S. Senators no longer have to wait for a bill of impeachment to pass in the House of Representatives. Richard Cheney has given us another tool in our struggle to remove him from office and power. The Vice Unitary Executive claims he and his office is exempt from oversight by the Information Security Oversight Office because he is not a member of the Executive branch.

Remarks for the start of the MARCH OF THE PEOPLE, Chicago, Illinois, Midsummer Day, 21 June 2007
PEBBLES FOR PEACE read by Mario Penalver
I’ve been thinking long and hard about things. I know, thinking isn’t usually something you would associate with a Sergeant of Marine Infantry - a former Grunt in my case. Thinking, especially for oneself, isn’t highly prized in an enlisted man; but I do it anyway.

NEW DELHI: The UN will observe Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday as the International Day of NonViolence every year, it said in a statement yesterday. The UN called upon all member nations and individuals to commemorate October 2 in “an appropriate manner and to disseminate the message of non-violence.”
The resolution was introduced by India.
Gandhi’s descendants hailed the move, but said the gesture should not only be symbolic.
Minneapolis School Board Director to ADSC & veteran: You're anti-American
On 3 May 2007 I sent the following e-mail to twenty-three of my elected officials, officials from the the Unitary Executive of American, George W. Bush and his lackey, Richard B. Cheney, down to the members of the Minneapolis School Board. I would have sent one to the dog catcher, but in Minneapolis that’s not an elected position. I asked what, if anything, they were doing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Only four politicians have responded. One suggested I should take up the issue on the federal level. The Constitution, evidently, isn't a state issue. Two, Tom Nordyke of the Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board and Tom Madden of the School Board made simple and modest statements that they are and will continue to honor their oaths of office. One however, Chris Stewart, Minneapolis School Board Director responded with vitupritation.
The Cry of the Disappeared
REMEMBER THE DISAPPEARED - 30 AUGUST
By Roger Cohen

New York - To disappear became a transitive verb in Latin America. Military dictatorships "disappeared" their opponents. That is to say, they kidnapped, tortured, murdered and disposed of them, leaving only an inconsolable absence in the place of a human being.
Now 2 of 23 ready to support & defend the Constitution
The Constitution appears to be gaining in popularity. The number of my elected officials that are willing to support and defend the Constitution by fulfilling their oaths of office has risen by one Minneapolis School Board member. On Jun 14, 2007, at 12:26 PM, Tom Madden e-mailed me this response:

By the authority vested in me as the President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to establish more fully the fruits of the Unitary Executive and the enjoyment of the same by true and loyal American businesses, and to impose the will of the Vice Unitary Executive on the entire world, I do hereby order that the normal precedence of flag be set aside for this day at the Western White House in Crawford, Texas.
The following flags will take precedence over the national ensign:

POPULAR CHASTISEMENT OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS
The ability of the People to correct or discipline government officials is somewhat circumscribed. The amount of authority granted each official, the nature of the office, and the offense(s), whether the office is elected or appointive, the type of governmental oversight, especially oversight conducted by a different branch of government; determines the ability of the Public to intervene in cases of misconduct or crime.

Oh, I dream of the days when we could impeach a President with impunity. Turning private affairs into public spectacle. Would someone give George (and Cheney, I guess) a blow job so we can impeach them? Where’s Jeff Gannon now?
